If she wasn't home then god alone knows where she was and if I don't find her happy and in perfect condition I am going to rain hell on that motherfucker who dared to hurt my sister.

I barely park the car, turning off the ignition I run inside.

"Skye?"
"Skye you in here?"

No response.
She's not in the kitchen, I check my library, my gym, my pool; god where the fuck is she.

I run to my quarters, though I doubt she'd come into my room.
I was right, she wasn't here.

I call Derek again.
Pick up. Pick up. Pick up.

"Hey man, you found Skye?" He asks, his voice tired and exhausted.

"Are you fucking sure, she's over at my place?
I swear to god Derek, If I don't find Skyler tonight I will destroy you. You here that?
And you know me pretty D, I don't make empty threats, so you better hope that my sister is safe and happy or I will end you."  I say to him, my voice ringing with threat and destruction.

"Jeez, man we were arguing and she tells me she has had enough and that she's going over to your place. I have been trying to call her since but my number's been blocked. Just check your place man, I am freaking out here please." He replies.

I hang up without responding to him.
There's only one place I haven't checked but I just had to. I can't get ahead of myself.
I take a deep breath and make my way to the other side of the house.

I stand outside Avery's room. I hadn't been here since I asked Julia to tidy it up for her.

A shaky breath escapes my lips.
Skyler has to be here. She just has to.

I knock twice. On getting no response I open the door slowly.

I squint for a second and then relief flushes over me. I take a deep breath as I see Skyler fast asleep all safe and comfortably snuggled under a warm duvet.

Skyler doesn't trust anyone and is an extreme closed off and an occasionally hard person even if I do say so myself so I was beyond surprised that she crashed in Avery's room.

Speaking of which, where is Avery? Skye was sleeping alone on her bed so if she's here where is Avery?

Whatever. It's none of my business. She can be with anyone, at anyone's place and I wouldn't give 2 shits about it as long as she doesn't humiliate me, I think as unfamiliar anger surges within me.

I close the door and text Derek that Skye's here and safe and to not push her anymore until she's ready herself.

Before I left I just had to check on Skye one last time, or atleast that's what I tell myself as I open her room again, except this time I find myself stepping inside.

I walk over to her bed where currently Skye was sleeping. Even as she slept, I could tell she was exhausted.

Overwhelmed with Avery's smell all over the damn room, I turn to leave. I'll deal with Skye in the morning.

As I turn to leave my breath hitches as I spot Avery curled up on the couch shaking from the cold. I walk towards her and bend down to her level and I place my palm on her forehead.
Holy shit. She'll fall sick if she stays like this till morning.
