It was 10 a.m. when I woke up to an empty bed. Shit, I slept for long.
A quick shower later, I entered the living room seeing everybody there.
Papa was watching a movie, mom was on her phone and a gloomy looking Reyansh was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast.
Not disturbing mom and dad, I sneaked into the kitchen. Since it was on the other side, no body could peep into the kitchen. Hence, there was privacy for us.
"Hey! Good morning. " I back hugged him.

"Morning." He pulled apart and went towards the fridge.
"You go sit outside, I'll bring the food. "
"But I can he-"
"Go outside Arya. "
And with that, I was kicked out of the kitchen. Frowning at what happened, I sat beside mumma.
"Did he kick you out too? " She said not taking eyes off her phone.
I nodded my head.
"What happened to him? "
"I don't know, since 8 a.m. he's in the kitchen, cooking I don't know what?" She said shaking her head.
I nodded my head and started watching the TV .
"Breakfast is ready. " He shouted from the kitchen 15 minutes later.
We all got up and went towards the dining table.
There were so many delicacies laid on the table.
"Eat fast. We have to open the gifts. " Saying this, he sat down beside me.
"Why didn't you wake us up in the morning ?" Mom questioned, eating a bite of toast.
"I was sleepy. " He shrugged and concentrated on eating his breakfast.
"That's a first. " Papa said, he looked shocked to be honest.
I looked at them in confusion.
"Ohh!! He used to be so excited for opening Christmas gifts that he used to wake us up at 5 a.m. or around. I am really shocked that he didn't got up this time. " Mumma told seeing my confused face.
Oh..... I looked at Reyansh guiltily. I shouldn't have neglected him like that. There are only certain times when he'd ask for something.

Just as we got inside the room after the breakfast, I hugged him tightly.
"I'm so sorry Reyansh. "
"No worries Arya. "
"Are you mad at me? "
"No. I knew that you were tired. We should've slept early, but my wife, she's one horny women. "
