Hisoka: age 20
Gon: age 5

It had been around 6 months since Gon had turned 5, and Gon had definitely showed a lot of potential. Be it his sense of smell, his raw strength, or his charming personality, Gon was well over average. Over the last year, Hisoka gradually started to increase the training Gon was doing. The two walked further everyday, and Gon could now walk a couple miles without completely tiring out.

The twos bond had increased, and Gon was still calling Hisoka 'papa' or 'daddy' or 'uncle'. Hisoka didn't mind being called all those either. It would feel wrong for him to take Ging's place as 'daddy' so Hisoka made sure to remind Gon whenever he called him daddy. He would chuckle and say something along the lines of "now now Gon~ remember, I'm not your real father. Ging is just taking a short little adventure." and finish the sentence with a smile.

And Gon would always say something like "I know! But right now your my papa! I can always have two papas! What's wrong with that?" To which Hisoka would chuckle, rub Gon's head, and distract him with a cool magic trick. It had been like that for a while now, so recently Hisoka had started correcting him less often.

He figured that Gon already knew, and just chose to call him daddy. Hisoka was sure Ging wouldn't really mind, after all Ging said so himself those five years ago to let Gon call Hisoka whatever he wanted. Besides that, nothing much had changed since a year ago, except for one thing.

Hisoka called out Gon to the living room area, and Gon plopped down on the couch. Hisoka remained standing, as he was about to teach a Gon a lesson. Yes, Hisoka was acting as Gon's teacher. He was at the right age to start schooling, and Hisoka decided that he could use the spare time to teach him some survival skills.

"Now, is this plant safe or bad?" Hisoka said, holding up a plant with his two fingers. "Oh! Oh! I know! It's bad, well atleast until you boil it in steaming water! Then it's safe to eat!" Proud of his accomplishment, Gon jumped up and down in his seat. "Good, now what is this..." and the lesson continued for another 20 minutes. Gon missed a lot, but he did manage to get some correct. That was still a major accomplishment, atleast for a five year old.

Their days continued as normal, except for Gon's interest in watching Hisoka cook. Yeah, Hisoka had started to learn how to cook. It wasn't like he was living with anyone to do it for him, so the past 5 years living with Gon Hisoka always cooked. Sometimes it was a peanut butter jelly sandwich, other times it was a bowl of Salad mixed in with minor poisonous herbs. Other times Hisoka actually cooked meals, though that was more rare.

Yeah, they may have been a tad poisonous, but Hisoka was doing it for Gon's best interest. There might be a day when Gon was poisoned, and left entirely defenseless. You never really know, and Hisoka just wanted to be sure. Bit by bit, Gon was starting to slowly develop a immunity for small common poisons, such as laxatives. Hisoka never really liked to toy with poisons, so that's as much as Gon's poison resistance went.

After a while, Gon started to be able to tell if any toxic plants or chemicals were mixed in, though he would only said that they "tasted funny". It was still pretty impressive for a 5 year old, which Hisoka noted. Since Gon was four, Hisoka was contemplating when he should have Gon enter Heavens Arena. Now, with Gon being 5 years and 6 months old, Hisoka decided to start training him harder.

Soon enough, he would enter Gon into heavens arena. But that would have to wait a while. Recently, Hisoka had started to hear some rumors of a strong group appearing. At first, he had paid it no mind, deciding that it was just a lowly group of bandits. Later on, however, after hearing about the feats this group had accomplished, Hisoka grew interested.

Hisoka was definitely interested in it a month later, after he heard about the group leader, someone named Chrollo Lucillfer, had gone head to head with Silva Zoldyck and actually made it out alive. The Zoldycks were infamous, and Hisoka definitely knew about them. Albeit, he didn't actually know them or what they looked like, he just knew about them. I mean, who didn't? They were the top ranked assassins, afterall.

However, before he made a move towards the phantom troupe, he wanted to make sure Gon's effort was worth it, and if Gon would be able to manage around high ranked criminals. That's why now, 5 years after Hisoka originally started taking care of Gon, his training increased.

They spent less time on silly games, and more time on survival tips and working out. While Gon did his daily 10 pushups, hisoka would do fifty with one hand, just to motivate Gon. And it seemingly worked, as Gon loved to train and grow stronger.

The two continued to work hard and train hard, until the brink of exhaustion. Well, atleast Hisoka was. Gon was still getting his daily naps and snacks. It would be to cruel to force Gon to work out until passing out, so Hisoka had chosen the friendlier option.

Hisoka: age 21
Gon: age 6

Finally, after 7 months of training, Hisoka had deemed Gon fit to go up Heavens tower. Of course, Gon would stop and leave immediately after he reached the two hundredth floor, as he wasn't ready for that yet. Now, all Hisoka needed to do was inform Gon of his decision.

"Gon, we will be going to a place where you can get even stronger! It's called Heavens Arena! Do you think your ready for the challenge?" Hisoka definitely believed that Gon was ready for it, but he wanted to hear Gon say it for himself. "Yeah! I'm ready! Let's gooo and explore!" Even with all their adventures, Gon never really went outside of the forest much, so he had very little interaction with other humans.

Gon was always up to explore, which was something he probably received from his fathers genes. Hisoka chuckled, patting Gon's head. "Okay, Gon. We will leave in the morning. How does that sound?" Gon's eyes shone, as he jumped up and down "That sounds amazing! I will go to sleep earlier today so tommorow is sooner!" Gon announced.

Of course, Hisoka didn't complain. Gon going to sleep earlier also meant that Hisoka could get more sleep, which he definitely needed after dealing with Gon for the past six years. Gon is such a bundle of energy, it was difficult for Hisoka to manage him sometimes. Luckily, Gon is also a little angel who always behaves. He just happens to be a little angel with loads of energy.
