"honey~are you ready to go?"

"ready whenever you are." seungmin yelled back to his mom while continuing to look down at his phone. today was the day he and his mom were moving from LA where he had spent most of his childhood living, to Seoul, Korea where his parents grew up and where he was born. School had just gotten out for the summer and his parents just recently divorced and he had decided he wanted to live with his mom instead of his dad even though that meant moving and leaving everything from his childhood behind. he had always been closer to his mom so as soon as seungmin was told he had a choice of who he wanted to stay with, no one was surprised when he picked his mom. after the divorce, seungmin's mom saw no reason to stay in LA and decided it would be best to move back to the city she had grown up in and where all her family and childhood friends were. seungmin really had no problem with moving and had always wanted to visit where his mom had grown up.

He eventually decided it would be best if he got off his phone and helped his mom make sure everything was ready to go. after about a hour of his mom checking their now empty apartment to make sure everything was packed and they weren't leaving anything behind, they got in their car and started to drive to the airport that would take them to korea. as they were driving, seungmin looked out the car window at everything that was passing by, some places he recognized but the longer they drove the more the outside places became foreign to him. his mom had stayed fairly quiet the whole drive, only making small talk every so often. after a couple hours of driving they finally arrived at the airport and went through security for their flight. the pair only had to wait about 30 minutes before their flight began boarding, so they checked into the flight, took their seats and wait to land in korea.

seungmin and his mom had arrived safely in korea, had gathered their luggage and were now just waiting for someone to pick them up. the someone that would be picking them up just happened to be his moms childhood best friend. seungmin throughout his life had heard many stories from his mom about  her friend, but had never gotten the chance to meet her because of their distance.

"do you know how much longer we have to wait?" seungmin questioned to his mom. it was already thirty minutes after the time she said she would pick them up and seungmin was longing to see what their new apartment looked like. his mom had rented an apartment for the two of them to stay in until she could find a job and pay for a house, which seungmin honestly didn't mind. he was just excited to get to experience living somewhere different and being away from his dad.

"im sorry seungie. i know she was supposed to be here a while ago, but maybe she just got stuck in traffic, i know she'll be here eventually. we just have to wait-"

"AHHH, IM SORRY FOR BEING SO LATE" seungmins mom was cut off towards the end of her sentence by some other lady yelling, causing seungmin to whip his head around. he finally made eye contact with the yelling woman who was now running towards him and his mom. the lady looked around his moms age and was very beautiful. she had short straight hair and dark brown eyes. seungmin was honestly taken back by the whole situation, that he hadn't noticed that she had a boy following her, and that they were getting closer. the boy and lady had made their way to the taken aback pair and both greeted seungmins mom with a hug. then it finally clicked, the lady and boy that followed were the hans, his moms childhood friend and her son. seungmin remembered hearing she had a kid his age, but it had completely slipped his mind. u til he was face to face with them.  the three others were talking for a bit and seungmin listened unitl they finally noticed seungmins presence and introduced themselves to him.

"oh, you must be seungmin! i apologize for not introducing myself sooner, but you can call me mrs. han, im your moms friend." she faced seungmin now and greeted him with one of the warmest smiles he had seen in his life, and took in her beauty not that she was up close. he shook her hand and then it came the boys turn to introduce himself.

"hi, my names han jisung, im pretty sure my mom said you were the same age as me so id love to get to know you better and hopefully become friends" the boy who seungmin now knew as jisung said to him. seungmin studied his face while he was speaking. he was a very cute person and honestly reminded seungmin of a squirrel with his plump and round cheeks. he wouldnt mind getting to know jisung a bit more, he seemed like a really nice person and figured he would be able to show him around the new, foreign area. after a couple more minutes of talking mrs. han helped load all their luggae into her car and drove to the twos new apartment. the moms sat in the front seats of the car, leaving seungmin and jisung in the back, which allowed the pair to talk and get to know each other. seungmin had always been a bit on the quieter side, and became really outgoing whenever you get to know him, while jisung was outgoing and extroverted from the start. the two talked about several different things and both grew to really enjoy each others company even though they had only know each other for a couple hours. as they grew closer to the apartment complex, they decided to exchange phone numbers so that way they would be able to stay in contact with each other and make plans to see each other again.  the four had arrived at the new apartment and the hans helped them bring their luggae inside and stayed for a couple hours to help unpack some necessities they would need such as cooking supplies and pillows and clothes. after a while of unpacking and talking, they left leaving just seungmin and his mom to eat dinner, wash up and go to sleep. after completing those tasks, seungmin went into his new room and laid down on the bed. even though he had been in korea for not even a full day he was already enjoying himself and began looking forward to spending the rest of the summer with han and looking forward to the start of school.

hi! this is my first fanfic i've ever written so i apologize if its not the best. this is lowkey based off of a conversation i had in a groupchat with two of my friends about what type of boyfriend hyunjin would be, so i decided to kinda take one of the scenarios we thought of and make a fanfic kinda about it so yeah. the updates for this will kinda be random, but i'll do my best to make them as consistent as i can :3

im also going to be adding songs at the beginning that i like/i listened to while writing. anyways i hope you enjoy this story and thank you for reading! :D
