...

"Once upon a time, there lived a beautiful young maiden. Sure she was no princess, but she was the ruler of her own world. And even though she was happy in her own way, she really wanted to find her other half, her soulmate."

The little girl's eyes twinkled at the first mention of the word 'soulmate.' "And then what happened?" She asked enthusiastically while clutching onto her grandma.

"She prayed and prayed just to get a single glance of that mysterious man of her dreams. But there was no sign of him! And then one evening, while she was playing by the bank of the river, a young man came upto her, riding in a horse and asked for her hand." The old woman made a dramatic gesture while the little girl clapped her hands.

"So cliche." A voice remarked from the other end of the room which belonged to the teenage boy who was lying on his stomach.

"Oppa!" The younger child squeaked in annoyance before reverting her attention to her grandma. "After that?"

"Then? The girl became still as a statue! For never she had seen a man so handsome. And without any second thought, she handed herself to him for she knew he was that long awaited soulmate of hers. And off they rode and rode until they came to a far away kingdom whose king had just brought his queen and they lived happily ever after........."

"Wow!!!!!"

"Yikes!!!!!"

The two siblings exclaimed at the same time, one being completely dreamy and the other being utterly disgusted.

"So, she just went with a complete freak she doesn't even know? Exactly how ridiculous can she be? Everything is wrong with this story!" The thirteen year old boy exclaimed with a cringed expression, sitting straight now, while his sister still wore a dreamy smile.

"Yoongi oppa, you really can't get it! He was her soulmate!" She said dreamily while her brother just scoffed, "More like freak-mate."

"You really can never understand!"

"Stop squealing chipmunk." He rolled his eyes at his overly dramatic sister who just got up, ignoring him.

"Thank you grandma. This was the most beautiful story I've ever heard!" She placed her arms around the old lady who just nodded with a troubled quirky smile, "Right."

"Okay! I'll be going now!"

"Sarang!" The old woman called the girl out when she was about to exit. She held her little hands and told her,

"Don't wait for destiny to find you, you make your own destiny."

The girl gave a quick nod before running outside. "God I'm gonna regret it." The sincere smile soon faded to reveal a disturbed look on her face.

"Why did you even tell her such a lame story?" The boy now came and sat in front of her.

"Because she gets satisfied with lame stories easily," she said in an obvious tone but then threw a sharp look towards him and said, "unlike you."

"And obsessed too, unlike me. But tell me, from where did you even come across this story?"

"I didn't come across it. I just made it up. My creativity sucks. Hence, I'm very good at making lame stories."

"Hmm." The boy just nodded before saying, "So, now it's my turn."

The aged lady left a hopeless sigh before asking blankly, "What do you wanna hear?"

"Enlighten me." He spoke with a cheeky grin, knowing that he had placed his grandma in the hardest position.

Meanwhile, a small figure of a girl was strolling along her grandparents' garden and enjoying the countryside view while humming to herself. That's when her eyes landed on the beautiful lake, not very far away, and an idea popped in her head.

She crept close to the lake, ensuring that there was no one nearby, before closing her eyes with folded hands and muttering, "Who's gonna be my soulmate? Can you give me a sign? Please God!" She kept waiting for almost an eternity before a sound brought her back to reality.

Opening her eyes, she turned around and found a rock, wrapped in a white paper, that rested close to her feet. She picked the rock and unwrapped the paper to see some anonymous scribbles written on it. As her eyes roamed through the letters, they became more and more rounded and her mouth went agape.

Before the rock slowly slipped out of her small hand and made contact with the ground, her big round orbs shifted from the paper to focus ahead and her mouth managed to utter in the most flabbergasted way,

"My soulmate is..............

JEON JUNGKOOK."
