Chapter 50

"Nyeh... I wonder how long we'll be here for?" 

"Ding dong dong ding." The announcememnt run from the monitors. "Please make you way towards the gym!" 

"Hmph, I suppose that's where we'll get our answers." Ryoma said, rising from his seat. "Let's go."

"Degenerate male! Always thinking he can tell us what to do!" Tenko hissed. "But...  we probably should be going too... come on Himiko!" Himiko just sighed in response but followed Tenko either way, and then it was just you in the dining hall. 

I avoided it for this long, but I'm going to have to see everyone now... including Kokichi. Does he even deserve a second chance? Was my death partially my fault that time? I don't know, and I probably won't know... but for now... I can at least act neutral to him, no to everyone who wronged me last time. 

Taking a deep breath you began to hurry your way to the gym, you ended up catching up to Ryoma in no time... his legs are pretty short.

"Hmph, I wonder what's going on," Ryoma commented as the two of you entered the gym. You saw the rest of the people you hadn't yet introduced yourself too. Soon enough Kaede and Shuichi entered as well. 

"Finally, all seventeen Ultimates are gathered here," Kirumi said upon their arrival. 

"It's kind of spectacular to see this many Ultimates in one spot." Kaito's remark almost made you flinch, since you still didn't know if you even had a talent in this world. 

"W-what's going to happen to us?" Miu cried. 

Keebo shook his head, "I'm not quite sure, but we need to be on guard, we do not know when danger will strike." 

You heard Kokichi sniffle, "D-don't say things like that... I'm so scared... I don't know what to do." You clenched your fist, you felt your heart rate increase. You really wanted to hit Kokichi, and you almost wanted to cry at the sight of him. You started taking deeper breaths, in an effort to calm yourself. He doesn't have anything to do with what happened yet. The Kokichi that killed me and the present Kokichi are two different versions, stop panicking! 

Somewhere in your mind, you wondered why you didn't get this sense of anxiety when seeing Angie, or even Tsumugi or Gonta. Gonta was understandable, he basically had been tricked into doing it both times. But Angie and Tsumugi? You felt uneasy around them, but not to the point of having a terrible sense of anxiety and panic overwhelm you. 

You were so lost in your conflicting emotions, that you barely registered the Monokubs' Exisal entrances. You snapped back to attention when Rantaro walked up to an Exisal. 

"Alright, so what do you want? You clearly want something. That's what the guns are for." Rantaro had no fear in his voice, "Let me guess. You're gonna force us to do something, and if we don't we get hurt."

"Well aren't you a wise guy?" Monosuke responded. And soon after that... came the dreadful announcement. 

"A K I L L I N G- G A M E." 

The horror the bestowed upon everyone's faces was instantly refreshed in your memory. Last time you had been caught up in your own panic and fear to realize just how scared everyone else was. And to think I treated them like they were below me because I thought they were 'just game characters'... they're just as human as me. 

Well, things were completely different now. Sure, maybe you weren't fighting for your own life anymore, but this time the goal you needed to achieve was beyond that. In order to keep their existence, you had to win this killing game. No matter the cost.

Honestly, I feel kind of bad for making you guys sit through prologue chapters again. I find it very entertaining to write especially since (Y/N) now has to deal with making so many more choices, and also dealing with meeting people who are the innocent versions of their evil selves (Aka Kokichi)

AND SPEAKING OF KOKICHI... this is honestly the worst Kokichi x reader fanfic I've seen, simply because... well from the comment section seems like a lot of you definitely dislike Kokichi o.o, especially with his latest actions... (Maybe I made him too evil? Ah too late now.) 

On a better note though...WE GOT PAST 50K?! LIKE MAN WOW I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT THANK YOU GUYS SERIOUSLY! 

I honestly never thought it'd grow to be this big, but honestly, I wouldn't still be writing this without you guys so... thank you all!
