If anything we had an advantage because most of the girls here were probably trying out to be a stripper, we were only here for actual work.

"Okay, ladies!" A security guard yelled, making everybody look and go quiet once he began to speak.

"Doors are now opening and we're going to be letting ten girls in at a time. Please have your I.D's ready for check in and your headshots out."

"Headshots?" I heard the girl in front of me say.

"I didn't bring no damn headshots." She went on, complaining to her friend.

"Bitch, it said it on the flyer." Her friend laughed as she rolled her eyes hard.

"Oh well. The owner fine ass better just let me slide." She said and Retta and I couldn't help but to laugh as they both turned to us.

"I'm serious. I heard this nigga is a black, fine, tall piece of chocolate. He better recognize." She went on as I smiled, shaking my head.

"Y'all look cute." Her friend ended up saying to us.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"Thanks, boo." Retta spoke loudly with a smile.

"What's y'all names?" Retta went onto ask as the two girls looked at each other.

"Well I'm Tia and that's Keisha." She pointed from herself to her friend and I nodded slowly, taking in their names so I wouldn't forget, just incase we all got hired together.

"How did y'all hear about this?" Tia went onto ask.

"The flyer." Retta waved it off and they nodded slowly.

"Us to but we're not from around here, we came all the way from the west coast. We saw the flyer on Instagram."

"Wow, really?" I couldn't help but to say, not knowing stripping was this important to people.

"Yeah, girl. Our old club out there wasn't paying enough and I know out here these niggas love seeing some ass, so we made the move." She shrugged.

"Girl, same." Retta spoke up, considering she'd just left Pete's in hopes to get a job here.

"My old club ain't shit either." She went on, telling the girls.

"So wait, y'all auditioning to be strippers?" Keisha spoke up and I made sure to shake my head no.

"No, bottle girls." I told her and she nodded slowly.

"That's cool, I was gon' try that but I love being a stripper. All that money every night." She shook her head in excitement.

"Especially here. I know hella niggas will pull up because of how fancy the shit looks."

"Right." We all nodded, laughing afterwards.

"You know niggas love to flex." Tia added as we all agreed.

Retta and I continued talking to the girls for what only seemed like five minutes but had to be much longer than that because when we finally came out of our talking fit, we were the next ones to go inside.

"I.D please." Security asked as Tia and Keisha gave their I.D's first and he checked over them.

"You two are good."

"Next." He called and as soon as he did, I became extremely nervous. I walked up to him and he was at least three times bigger than me, immediately intimidating me.

"I.D please." He spoke sternly to me and both Retta and I gave him our I.D's before he checked over them.

"Alright, you two are good." He said to us.

"Next!" He called, making me jumped from his loudness as I quickly made my way into the club and Retta couldn't help but to laugh.

"You're so nervous." She went on, laughing at me.

"Shut up, it's not funny." I hit her softly as we walked in and I couldn't help but to admire the place. The outside was beautiful but the inside was even more gorgeous.

"Wow." Retta and I spoke at the same time as we made our way into the doors.

"Against the wall." Another security guard popped up, startling us as we made our way through, doing as he said.

We walked over to the wall where four other girls stood, including Tia and Keisha.

"What the hell is going on?" I couldn't help but to whisper in this oddly quiet room.

"We're waiting for the judges. They just hired some girls on the spot so they're all in the back right now." Tia whispered back to me as she sat on the floor.

"Oh." I nodded, looking over to Retta, who was right beside me.

"What she say?" Retta asked and I repeated what was she'd just told me.

"We're waiting for the judges, they just hired some people." I spoke, more hopeful now.

"Oh alright. Well they need to hurry up so they can hire me." She flipped her hair over her shoulder and I couldn't help but to laugh.

She was confident she was getting hired today.

Standing there now for almost five minutes, I watched as four more girls came into the building and stood on the wall with us. I couldn't help but to size up each of these girls up, to see if they would get chosen over me. But honestly, every girl here was so pretty, I didn't know how this would play out. I didn't even know how many girls they were planning on hiring.

I just knew they couldn't hire all of us.

"Alright, everybody get off the wall and line up in front of this table." I heard a familiar voice say, making me furrow my eyebrows.

Looking up at the person, I saw that it was one of Mitch's friends.

"Jay?" I said to myself as all of us girls lined up in front of the judges table.

He owns this place? I couldn't help but to think.

"Is that the owner?" I heard a random girl whisper at the end of the line.

"No. I heard fine ass Mitch is the owner." I heard someone else answer and my heart dropped to my stomach.

Mitch? I thought, furrowing my eyebrows.

"Bitch." Retta hit me hard, making me look at her.

"Ouch. What?" I asked, rubbing my hand over where she'd just hit me.

"Look." She nodded toward something and I quickly looked, seeing that it was Mitch coming out of the back.
