"Anemoia"

A time you never knew brings nostalgia,
Framing images into hazes of sepia,
In a roadside scented with ambrosia,
Fills up the bygones of symposia,

Remembering the ancestors that once passed by,
Who once slept in these houses nearby,
They once looked up at the same alluring moon,
Who lived an honourable life but died too soon,

Once fell in love in their youthful primes,
Lived in the same world but different times,
Reminiscing people who were once alive with gay,
Will people remember me when I too pass away?

I never knew them or saw their sweet face,
But I knew too well they enjoyed this place,
Anemoia unexpectedly let you crave,
The happiness of people taken to the grave.
