Chapter nineteen

"Oh god" Lena exclaimed "what happened next?"

"'Next? 2 months after, Sarah was going to Oxford as she dreamt. She and Diego made a deal that they would contact every day, ya know Long distance relationship? But in deep inside they knew
it wouldn't work. That's why on the night Sarah was leaving Diego stayed with me. I already had ice-cream and movies ready. I was assuring and calming Diego.."

"Plane 625 boarding starts now" I heard my mother say. I stood there in the airport watching my ticket to London, this was my dream, Going to oxford. And I got 100% grant. But it still felt so off...I wasn't fully happy, something wasn't quite right. I quickly shook my head and went to the gate

Diego's POV:

I can't believe she is going to go and leave me here, for years. Yes I know we didn't break up. But everyone knows long distance relationships never work! Plus I really will miss her. Heck! She didn't leave yet and I miss her. I look through window, and watched as rain poured on it, as if those little drops of water felt me.

"Hey pal?" Kara called me "you are going to be just fine! Believe me! Some long distance relationships work! Some of them of course... some of them ends up with either of them cheating or either of them getting bored and breaking up, then they feel really sad for really long time with low self est-"

"You are not helping" I sighed and closed the curtains

"But you and Sarah are different! You will be just fine pal. I mean do you know this girl? Or do you know yourself?" Kara came to me and handed the ice-cream "she's been head over heels over you since the day you caught her in the library" I smiled at the memory "she's still the same Sarah who punched Bobby Wilson in the face for you (I was so proud), still the same Sarah who cried when you didn't went with her on camping, still same Sarah who made teacher very scared after he wrote you F for no reason. And you are still the same Diego who stood up for her in the classes when Dixie Norton bullied her, who stayed all night just to comfort Sarah after she nearly failed math because she was nervous. who nearly chickened out on the first date, who pretended dumb just because Sarah could 'teach' you physics" I smiled at those precious little memories. Maybe Kara was right. Maybe we would be just fine

"Yeah I remember the time when we stole cakes from Eliza, do you remember who's idea was it?"

"Sarah?"

"Your's actually" I laughed. But Kara grabbed my arm

"No no, Sarah! Look" she dragged me to the window and opened the curtains. Then I saw familiar strawberry blonde haired beauty running to our direction. I quickly yeeted the ice-cream, ripped the door open and ran downstairs. As I heard the doorbell ring I opened the door and saw wet Sarah Allen on the porch. We stood there, none of us saying a word.

"I-it didn't feel right you know? Going to oxford" Sarah broke the silence "when I could be with you"

"Sarah..." I started and held her hands, our heads inches apart, our eyes telling everything that our lips couldn't form, and then finally we closed the remained gap between us, and hungrily and sweetly melted into the kiss

"The end!" Little Danvers exclaimed
"Oh my Rao...Lee, are you crying?" Lena shred a little tear on her cheek

"No! Of course not!" Kara laughed

"My little crybaby" Lena lightly punched her on the arm

"I am not!" The former CEO pouted "Wait, so you are telling me Sarah didn't make her dream come true, just because of Diego? That's crazy"

"I guess, people do crazy stupid things when they are in love"  Kara smiled

Suddenly they heard a knock on the door. Little Danvers got up

"Who is it Kar?" Lena asked

Kara went to open the door and saw brown haired boy standing there, tears on his cheeks

"I think I cheated on my wife" that's all he said before coming in
