Six years later Miles P.O.V

A whole lot of nothing can happen in six years. I've dated a couple of models here and there, got back together with Allison for a while too. I traveled all over the world finding the best parties, half of them I don't even remember. I still haven't earned my fathers trust, so that means I'm still working for him which really sucks.

It's Saturday morning, so I don't have to go into the office today, thank God . I sit in the family room on the large leather couch watching sport highlights.

"Sir, your car has a tune up scheduled today" Charles reminds me as we walks past the family room, off to go and attend to some other things that need to be done.

I hear the elevator bell ring, meaning that someone is here. I get off the couch, not bothering to turn off the T.V, to see who it is.

"So you know that guy who asked us to do some posters for his garage?" He asks walking right past me, with out so much as a hello, and throws himself onto the couch.

"Hey Eric nice to see you too" I say sarcastically "and ya I remember him, the one with all of the tattoos right?" I ask scratching my head

"Ya him" he says glancing over at the screen re-playing some football plays "so he got this offer to do some car show in Texas and won't be able to make the meeting until a couple of months later, so agreed on a day in October" he says.

I go over how many moths this meeting will be postponed too, it's August now, so a month I have to wait for this guy to make up his mind on a design and pay me.

"Great" I say sarcastically and walk over to the bar, and pour myself a glass of scotch.

"There's something else you should know, he-"

"Eric I don't care" I say cutting him off

"But Miles-"

"I don't care!" I shout

He shakes his head in disapprovement and gets up from his seat "don't say I didn't try warning you" he says and walks back to the elevator. I hear it ding, and once again, I am left alone.

If anything, the past six years have made me better at pushing people away.

"Ow Delia, stop pulling my hair!" Mona complains.

"Well if you would shut-up and stop moving, we wouldn't be having this problem" I counter. Her and Danny have a meeting with a really big marketing company today for the garage. They were able to land a car show in Texas earlier this year which was great publicity for them.

"I don't even get why you are styling my hair for me" she says

"Because you want to be presentable" I say furrowing my eyebrows "and we're going out for dinner to celebrate after" I say

"I don't get why" she murmurs.

"Oh my God Mona, your hair looks beautiful!" Darcy says as she comes up beside me. I give her the comb and bobby pins to finish off for me.

"Hey mom!" I hear Ben shout as he rides his skateboard to the front desk

"Hey DeDe!" I hear Indi shout behind him

I walk over to them and lean against the desk "how was school?" I ask

"Shit as always" Indi respond while flipping through some magazine

"It was okay" Ben says "my teacher gave us an assignment today" he says pushing his board back and forth with his foot.

"Just wait until you hear what type of assignment this jackass gave them" Indi says from the magazine
