Recognising the type of cry, Bambina stood, "She needs her nappies changed."

Marcello and Bambina walked upstairs to the baby room, where Angel lay crying.

Bambina began to change the nappy, and Marcello stood aside, watching as a few strands of hair fell in front of her face.

"Why settle for the mafia life? Why didn't you continue your studies as a nurse?" Marcello questioned and Bambina smiled.

"Oh," she laughed softly, "I lied. I was in high school, so I never studied nursing," she paused looking up at Marcello with a cheeky grin, "I just know how to pop a shoulder back in."

There was a pause of silence before Marcello asked another question, "So you're engaged."

Bambina, who had looked down, raised her head in confusion, tilting her head in a silent question before she finished changing the nappies, "There you go, Angel, all clean now."

Angel laughed as Bambina put her down. The toddler began to reach for her dad, hands opening and closing.

"Dada!" She pouted and reached again.

"My little baby," Marcello picked her up and kissed her nose, "Were you stinky?" he scrunched his face up and Angel beamed proudly, showcasing her small teeth.

"I have to go soon, my mum will get here before I go, you should probably get back to your Donship as well." Bambina smiled lightly, leaning against a wall.

Marcello heaved a sigh and nodded, hugging Angel to his large body, "I'm gonna miss you, Angel."

Angel blew a raspberry in his face, "You can visit to see her anytime." Bambina added.

"I'm visiting all the time to see you as well." He winked and she looked down.

"As one would, I'm amazing, after all." She lifted her head and smiled.

"Angel! Grannies home!" The door banged open and Eloise's eyes widened, "Bambina, you're meant to be at work, and this hunk right here should be going to his work too." Eloise winked at Marcello and Bambina went red.

"Madre!" Bambina's ears went red as well.

Eloise only smiled innocently and took Angel out of Marcello's arms, "Now off you go you two, go and plan how your two mafias can effectively join."

"Please stop, Madre." Bambina shook her head in embarrassment.

"I won't stop until you two get married." Bambina shot out of the room, Marcello following.

Turning on his phone, Marcello was greeted with hundreds of missed calls and messages from Amadeo, who was freaking out because he didn't know if Marcello was dead or not.

Deciding to put his friend at ease, Marcello made a quick phone call to confirm that he was alive and well, and much to Amadeo's disappointment, Marcello informed him that he wasn't sure when he'd be back.

Ending the call, Marcello stepped back into the dimly lit room.

The walls were concrete and soundproof, empty except for the occupied metal chair in the middle, and a metal table filled all types of fun gadgets - fun for Bambina, but not so much for the woman in the chair.

Her blonde hair was stuck to her forehead and neck as it was caked in dried blood. The girl's clothes were sticking to her skeletal body from the sweat, large, but non-fatal gashes on her tan skin. Her sunken eyes darted to Marcello and her breathing quickened from fear. Fear of what this large man could do to hurt her.
