Prologue
"Being kind and doing good deeds is always the right thing to do."
When I was little, I was told that If I always do good deeds, then I will get the same in return. Sabi pa nga sa akin, if I keep on doing good deeds, I will go to heaven when I die. And when I do bad deeds, I will go to hell and burn. As a kid, of course, I was scared to do bad deeds and I don't think anyone would even want to go to hell when they die.
Pero ngayon na may isip na ako, simple lang ang gusto ko kapag dumating na 'yong oras ko. All I want is to wake up in paradise without feeling any pain, gusto ko 'yong wala akong pagsisihan at ang tanging iisipin ko lang ay ang hanapin ang sinasabi nilang Golden Gate to heaven.
But how can I continue to do good deeds if I always get bad ones in return?
How can I continue to live in the light if something is always pulling me down in the dark?
Is it really the life I am destined to have —complicated, deadly, and tragic life?
How cruel, but maybe it is.
