I'm a little bit late to the bandwagon but hey, I said in the last bit that I might try and do the Sailor Moon redraw so here I am! I did another painting and this is most definitely the best thing I have ever created with my own two hands.

I hope you like it as much as I do! It took me a whole day to finish painting. Umm, I guess I'm just gonna keep at it with the step-by-step posts. Here we go:

1. Sketch

Again, this is the second layer sketch

Again, this is the second layer sketch. Gosh, I love it so much that I even find my own sketch beautiful. I'm absolutely obsessed with this piece that I just can't help but praise myself so much ><

2. (Kinda) Base Colors

I was in the middle of rendering the skin when I just remembered to save a picture of the base colors LMAO

I was in the middle of rendering the skin when I just remembered to save a picture of the base colors LMAO. I couldn't get the base skin coloring anymore since I already flattened out the layer and yea. I tried out a softer way of painting the face as opposed to the Foo Fighters one and i'M LOVING MYSELF FOR IT.

3. Finished Shading

There are still some rough paint markings here and there, but here's where I finished shading Sailor Moon as a whole! I haven't added any highlights at this point but hey we'll get there

4. Background and Highlights

Wahoo! Backgrounds! And I also added highlights at different parts of the piece

Wahoo! Backgrounds! And I also added highlights at different parts of the piece. In addition, I did my favorite part of painting; adding the loose strands of hair! :D I love the background I just made like omg. The painting is basically done but I still had some more details missing. It was at this point when I noticed that she actually wore earrings and so I decided to continue.

5. Details and Lighting

AAAAND WE'RE DONE! I added her earrings, put some hard shines on her accessories and added the contrasting shade and light source

AAAAND WE'RE DONE! I added her earrings, put some hard shines on her accessories and added the contrasting shade and light source. I tried putting on the "dust effect" and I think it turned out pretty good!

All in all, this is probably the proudest I've been in my entire life as an artist. Like seriously, after I finished this at like 7 PM after eight hours, I was so satisfied. Never in my life did I imagine that I'd be able to make something like this :) I hope you're proud of me too! :DD

I'm very tempted to use this as a cover but I'm not sure yet. For one, it won't match the theme of my account but IM SO HECKING PROUD. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS AND IM HAPPY!

Eh, there has been some unfortunate events that happened after I finished this and so I've been feeling really down lately. Everyone's been so nice to me and I can't thank you all enough. I hope you all are doing alright too :)

Bah! I said no negativity in the beginning of the book so lets forget about that! I hope you liked my Sailor Moon redraw!

Be seeing ya! Nyo ho!
