I pour my self a cup of vodka and sprite, wanting something a little tastier than beer. I felt guilty about Rebekah.

She seemed so excited about tonight and I knew she would've enjoyed it. It would've distracted her from the grief of her brother lying to her for hundreds of years.

I take a long drink before looking back to where I thought Stefan would be, talking to Klaus, but neither were there.

"Hello Scarlett." A familiar British voice speaks from behind me. I had wondered all night if the man would approach me.

I scolded myself for hoping he would. His sisters words relayed over and over in my mind. I felt flattered of course.

I turn around, my eyes meeting with Stefan's and Klaus's. Maybe Stefan didn't understand the expression 'I'll leave you to it'.

"Hello Klaus, Stefan." I say with a small smile, stopping myself from glaring at Stefan.

He looks at me apologetically, knowing I expressed my resistance in getting involved directly.

"You look ravishing." He speaks softly and with his signature smirk before holding his hand out to take mine.

"Thank you." I say before giving him my hands. He slowly brings it up to his lips and keeps eye contact as he places a small kiss.

I feel myself begin to heat up and decide to quickly take a drink of the vodka in my cup.

"You must forgive me for my behavior the last time we met. I'm in a much better state of mind." He explains, he was so charismatic and words rolled from his tongue effortlessly.

"It's alright, not like you tried to murder me or anything..." I trail off with a light laugh before speaking again.

"Oh wait." I say, deadpanning the man as he only chuckles.

"So what now Klaus? Done running?" Stefan speaks up, attempting to change the subject.

"Now, I reunite my family." He states, his eyes lingering on me for only a moment before looking at Stefan.

"You mean the people you cart around in caskets?" Stefan asks, raising a brow. This makes me stifle a laugh.

"None of that matters anymore. Mikael is gone. Bygones will be bygones." He shrugs the comment off, elegantly and effortlessly. This man could talk his way out of hell.

"Seems the Homecoming Queen still walks among the living, which leads me to believe Rebekah isn't here...Where is she?" He asks, looking to Stefan as we both exchanged looks. I quickly took another gulp.

"I have no idea. I thought she was coming with Matt." He shrugs nonchalantly.

"Oh, be honest now, Stefan. Where is my sister?" He says, almost having a stare off with Stefan.

"I said I have no idea. How would you like me to take you to your father?" Stefan says, changing the subject.

"Well, it wouldn't be a party without the guest of honor, would it? Bring him to me." He says, waving Stefan away.

"All right. Perhaps there's something in it for me...? " Stefan trails off as Klaus looks back to him.

"Like what?" He asks, I then cut in.
