Everyone holds a secret that they prefer to keep to themselves, no matter how big or small it is.

It's no secret that you are dating the Crown Prince of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, Dimitri. You aren't a noble but that didn't stop your love for him and he loves you for who you are, not for class or ranks. Today was rather a dull day since nothing exciting has happened, you were watching Dimitri train with Dedue in their usual private sword fighting class. 

"Go Dimitri! You can do it!"

The blonde heard your cheers which motivated him to swing more attacks on his opponent. Dimitri took all his might and was able to knock down Dedue with this outrageous heavy attack.

A smug smile appears on Dimitri's face as he watched Dedue struggling to get up, "I must say, you are getting stronger and stronger everyday your highness."

"Why thank you Dedue, you are pretty great yourself as well."

"Remember, there are opponents out there who are undoubtedly stronger than the both of us. You can't let your guard down no matter what."

Dimitri nodded as he shake hands with Dedue and parted ways after that. The moment he walked out of the gate, (Y/N) jumped from her hiding spot and hugged the blonde.

"Ah! You scared me (Y/N)!"

Giggles was escaping the sneaky girl's lips as she kissed Dimitri on the cheek, "Sorry but I couldn't help but hug you after your victorious win today!"

Dimitri blushes, "O-Oh, it was nothing babe. Just training for any possible scenarios that could possibly happen."

The prince gently grabs (Y/N) chin and softly kiss her on the lips. Breaking the kiss, he looks at her beautiful (E/C) eyes while caressing her cheek.

"There's something I want to show you."

"What is it?"

"I can't tell you that silly. You have to wait until we get there."

Dimitri grabs (Y/N)'s hand and walks to the cafeteria. Inside was pretty crowded today since today's special is "all you can eat meat" buffet.

"Perfect! This will be great food for him."

(Y/N)'s eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "Huh, who are you talking about?"

"It's n-nothing, you'll find out soon. Can you help me pick out some meat and wrap it up?"

The duo grabbed any type of meat they can then wrapped it up with butcher paper rolls and carefully put them inside a small bamboo box. When they were finished, Raphael stopped to talk to them.

"Hello there! I didn't know you guys love meat that much."

(Y/N) quickly made a excuse, "Haha, you caught us! Dimitri and I really love meat, chicken in particular."

"Chicken is my favorite as well! Don't worry, I won't tell anyone else about this."

"Thanks Raphael, we gotta go now but I'll see you later!"

The lovers ran out of the Cafeteria and went to the stable to borrow a horse (thank god Ferdinand wasn't there, or all hell would've broke loose). Reaching the gate of the Monastery, (Y/N) still doesn't know what Dimitri is trying to show her.

"Hey, why are we here?"

"Because I want to show you something but it's not in the Monastery. We need to share a horse since the destination is long by foot."

(Y/N) simply nodded and climbed on top of the horse while holding on to Dimitri. The wind breezes with cool air as the horse bolts through the forest but as they progress their journey, the path Dimitri was taking was a path (Y/N) never saw before which surprised her. Reaching the secret area, a beautiful grass meadow with a big pond was shown. The lovers got off the horse and started to wonder around the area.

"Dimitri, this is amazing!"

"Wait until you see this. Come out Azul!"

Before (Y/N) could even question what Dimitri was yelling out, a big light-brown lion came out of the bushes and quickly pounced on the girl which made her scream.

"Azul! She's a friend!"

The lion obeyed and started to playfully lick (Y/N) before he got off her. Dimitri chuckled as the shivering girl punched him on the shoulder.

"T-That's not funny! I could've died and my head would've been eaten off!"

"But your body parts are still together, right?"

(Y/N) pouted after the prince makes a valid point. He called the lion over and personally showed (Y/N), but she was still nervous around him.

"(Y/N), I want you to meet Azul, my royal lion."

"Wow... Does Azul have a meaning in his name?"

"Why yes actually, it means blue in Spanish."

The girl couldn't help but look at Azul in awe. He was such a elegant lion that reminds her of Dimitri, both fearsome and divine.

"He's so lovely."

"I know right? To think I was able to tame a lion..."

Dimitri grabbed the bamboo basket and gave Azul the meat from the cafe. The lovers watched as the lion started to eat in full content.

"So, how did you meet Azul?"

The prince smiled at the question, "I met Azul when I was walking alone in the forest and I heard a loud roar from a distance. So I followed the noise and he was badly injured. It had to be hunters because there was an arrow in his paw. The poor thing was trying to be hostile but he was too weak to fight back."

Hearing that made (Y/N) frown, he really cares about Azul.

"I really want to keep him but my parents would never approve of it. So I had to hide him in a secret spot where no one could possibly look for. Please (Y/N), don't tell anyone that I have a lion along with this place. The guards will most likely try to look and take him away..."

"Trust me, I will never tell anyone. Your secret is safe with me, my lord."

A soft laugh was earned from the duo and they looked at each other for a second. Dimitri leans forward to give you a kiss and you was doing the same thing until Azul came in between, making the both of you kiss the lion on the cheek.

"Ahh! Oh c'mon Azul! What was that for?!"

(Y/N) couldn't help but laugh when Azul tried to lay on Dimitri's lap. He tried to fight back but the lion was too heavy for him and he decided to give up at this point.

"This lion can be a pain in the butt sometimes..."

"But you gotta admit, he's so adorable that you can't even be mad at him!"
