"You have grown up quiet fast!" The Hokage chuckles.

"Thank you my lord." Kakashi said quietly.

"I guess I will get straight to the point. Your assignment involves going to a small village just off the village hidden in the snow. People are going missing when going hunting or go out of the village. People think it was just bear attacks or a pack of wolves-" he explained as he grunts to sit in his chair.

"-I want you to investigate it. Reason why is that the population in the village as steadily gone down hill this month and no animal would go through all that carnage." He pauses.

"Think you can handle this task boy?" He asked leaning over his desk.

"Yes my lord." The Hokage waves to dismiss him and Kakashi quickly took his leave.

Kakashi didn't pack much stuff as he was packing light. He threw over a winter cloak over himself and slipped his mask on before heading out of the village and headed north.

The trip took several days. Kakashi made it to the village and met up with a person that ran the small village. He stood in the dark as the young male stutters out information to him.

'This person must have never ran this village... I wonder if the actual leader was part of the group of missing people.' Kakashi thought boredly as he drowned out the babbling of the villager. The only thing he thought even remotely useful to him was that the disappearing would only happen at night. So he left at that and stopped at an inn to put his stuff somewhere. He waited till night. He watched as the clouded sky darker as night fell upon the village and he sat on the roof observing the people and their activity.

'Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary..' he thought. The hunters moved their hunting radius closer to the village, but there was barely anything brought in for everyone to eat. After watching them for an hour, Kakashi had enough and stood up. He decided to encounter the killer or the hungry animal. He searched for several hours.

A heavy blizzard came out of no where and forced him to take shelter. He discovered an old shrine and huddled in a small alter. He craddled himself for warm. There was a good chance he wasn't going to make it through the night. All night he shivered, his body was tired and his bone were sore. Against his will, his eyes flutter closed.

Sunlight hit his eyes making him open his eyes but he was confused to see the night sky. Yet he felt so... warm? He lifted his body as he noticed he was laying down. A crackling sound gained his attention which turned his head towards the source.

'A fire?'

Around the alter of the shine in the building was a fire pit. He looked around and noticed a slouched woman on the other side of the room.

She was the furthest away from the fire where the light didn't touch. Her form was small. Her legs tucked to her chest and her head laid her knees where the head faced downwards.

He took in her appearance. She wore white kimono and at the bottom of the fabric lied a faded blue color with white fuzzy prints that looked like a snow falling in the night sky.

He noticed her feet were bare and was saw that her skin was almost as pale as her kimono. Her hair stood out from the pale colors. It was black but seemed to have a blue tint to it.
