Yokai

"Winter is my favorite season." He simply said as he walked forward, passing his students.

The four soon entered the village and were offered an inn to stay in till their mission was finished.

"I am so tired! Get this stupid mission done and over with!" Sakura dunk into the bed.

"I know. Kakashi sensei usually goes on missions to the north himself though.." Naruto said as he laid beside her. Sakura looked irked at him and shoved him off the bed.

"You have your own room! But Sasuke can certainly stay with me!" Sakura ogles the said male who only grabs Narutos collar and started to leave. Naruto was flailing under his grasp until he noticed something.

"Hey... where is Kakashi Sensei?" Sasuke froze and Sakura pinched her chin in thought.

"I saw him talking to the Hokage here in the village hidden in the snow..." curiousness got to the three of them as they all quickly moved through the halls only to see no one there.

"Can I help you young ones?" They flinch and look back to see an old man dressed in bear skin.

"W-We were looking for our sensei sir. Kakashi Hatake?" The old man perked his head up at the name and smiles brightly.

"Nice gentleman he is! He left not too long ago to head towards the shrine up in the mountains!" He pointed out towards a tall mountain.

"This late?" Sasuke muttered with a scowl.

"Does it everytime without fail." The old man answered. The three ninjas looked at one another before looking at the elder.

"Family?" Sakura pried. The elder opened his eyes to show his misty eyes and smiles.

"His wife.." Sasukes eyes widen while the other two yelped in surprised.

"THAT PERVERTED BASTARD IS MARRIED?!?" Naruto yells while raking his blonde hair in confusion. Sakura recovers fast and smacks his head making him whimper.

"I'm sorry but Kakashi Sensei doesn't have a wife. He is from the leaf village not here. I think you are talking about another person." The old man shook his head.

"I know where he is from and I know the wife. She can not walk on the earth unless it is covered with a thick blanket of snow.." Sakura and Naruto was curious again and secretly Sasuke listened.

"Oh how many years ago was it.. I believe he was the age of fourteen when he first came here." The old man continued as he pondered remembering.

"Fourteen?!" Sakura was surprised.

"Yes it was a common age to be married but the young boy wasn't tied down with an arranged marriage like normal. If I remember correctly, he was a new ANBU and was on his first solo mission." He said as he stroke his beard in thought.

"How do you know this?" Sasuke finally spoke watching the male who smiles showing several missing teeth.

"I was there.."

Kakashi kneeled before the Hokage. He had finished his orientation with the ANBU and was given his first ever assignment quickly after.
