Nineteen | The Text (DUN-DUN-DUN-DUUUUUUNNNN!)

Start from the beginning

"Well, you did amazing honey, we can assure you that," Mella chuckled, pulling up her sunglasses to rest them atop of her head. "Fans are actually dying to see your next appearance."

Lana nods her head in agreement, giving me a soft smile. "It can get a little overwhelming at the start, but you'll be okay. Like what your guy friends said, just do your thing. There will always be people to support you."

I honestly felt like crying a river, but I hold it in and give them a shaky smile, reaching out for their hands which they all on instinct put them on the center of our table. "Thank you guys, really."

Interrupting the heartfelt moment, I felt vibrating in my jean pocket. I give them an apologetic smile and pull out my phone, resting my hands on top of the table as the girls looked at me in anticipation. Chris was FaceTiming me. I press answer and there he was, wearing a white top, clean shaven, and looking like a freaking god, ya know, the usual Chris Evans look.

"I see you've shaved?" I smirked. He chuckled and unconsciously rubbed a hand on his chin, tilting his head as if he was checking for any stubble that started to grow again.

"Is that so bad hon?"

Jennifer and Mella were literally squealing beside me while Lana tried to hush them.

"You on a date pretty girl?" Chris asked in a joking manner. I wanted to roll my eyes at the statement. Every time I went out, or every time he'd see me outside, he'd ask me if I was on a date, even when he knew I had no desire of dating anyone at the moment and that I was the most awkward, idiotic woman on Earth; whether or not I was in the mood for dating, it'd take forever for me to actually find someone right.

"Lunch date." I correct him, turning back to show the girls, who waved at the camera. Through the little mirrored screen on the upper right corner of my phone, I could see Mella in shock — mouth agape with wide eyes — as well was Lana and Jennifer, who were acting cool as they waved hello to Chris. As soon as I turned back into my chair, they all looked at each other, trying to process what happened. "Do you need something? I didn't know you were gonna call or anything."

"You got Joss' call?"

Oooh...

"Sebastian's going to kill you, ya know," I joked, poking at my food with my fork and shoving it into my mouth. "What'd you need me for soldier boy?"

"New movie, obviously. Andddddd I miss you?" he smiled at me bashfully, hand on his nape. I rolled my eyes playfully. "I haven't seen you in forever, you expect to not miss your cute ass?"

"You're cute. Not cute enough though." I shrugged my shoulders, giving him a sinister little smile. Chris squinted his eyes, pretty much done with all my shit. I laughed. "You want me? Try harder!"

"I'll pick you up?"

"Mmm... that's Sebby's job."

"I'll go with Seb and pick you up?"

"You think I don't know you're in Atlanta right now?" I deadpanned. Chris' face fell. I'm glad that Joss told me where they were. I didn't say yes to the offer yet, but I was given details on where they're shooting. No details on the movie itself though. "How 'bout I talk to Seb about you stealing me for a while and see if he lets me go?" I smirked. Chris groaned.

"Um, no. Not fair. You know for a fact he'd say no straight off the bat! He loves you too much." Chris pouted, bottom lip sticking out.

Psh. Sure. Like I'm so falling for that look. I sigh softly, ending up looking away for good measure. "You're being negative Chris. Sebby loves you too, maybe he'll let you borrow me for... I don't know, how many months are we talking about?"
