Aria had pulled into a vacant lot. Eli slipped out of the car and stretched his legs.
"Cramped cars are the enemy." Aria laughed as she got out and locked the car. She held the duffle close to her and looked up at the abandoned building. she sighed and followed Eli into the apartment building. The lobby was trampled like everyone left at the same time, scared of a monster. Which is what most likely happened.
"human's" Eli thought to himself
"Hello?" She called out. Instantly Eli hit her shoulder. He seemed a little scared, but he was just trying to scare Aria.
"Have you never watched movies, there's always something lurking." He said walking cautiously, further into the deep halls. The floor boards creaked as he went towards the stairs.
"The only thing lurking here is you, broccoli boy." Aria walked past him stopped him. "It's dark up there." Eli looked at her weirdly.
"So what, you scared?" Aria rolled her eyes at the tall boy. of course she wasn't scared, at least that's what she was telling herself.
"I don't get scared." He laughed and hugged her from behind. She groans and struggles to get out of his grip. "Don't be fucking weird." She reaches for her back pulling out her sword from her spine. She get in position. Knees bent, arms out. The sword had a faint light, so it lit up the hall a little.
"Ew, that shits creepy as fuck." He had his hands up trying to keep her away as he shuffled off.
"Shut up, swamp ass." Eli huffed and scratched his dark green hair.
"You know that's not true." He said.
"No I dont." Aria said walking up the dark stairway, Eli following behind her.
