At new beginnings I'd just begun to smile
When you stabbed me with words so vileAnd helplessly as I fell
Receding footsteps I could tellAs I lay there limp and pale
I remembered the time you lifted my veilThose times when I lived a blissful life
As your completely devoted wifeBut bit by bit broke apart we
You forgot 'us' - only talked about you and meAnd day by day the arguments would increase
In leaving you I finally found my releaseAnd now even as I struggled for air
