Like pearls they fell from her eyes
Those precious tears no one cared to wipe
She had a buddy - both handsome and smart
In whom she could confide and pour out her heart
Her long - buried neglected pain
Now gushed out like monsoon rain
He knew she was wounded and deeply hurt
But lacked the courage to comfort
And so without further delay
He shook his head and walked away
She was crushed, her world went dark
His abandonment had left its deadly mark
Calmness spread as she hiked up the hill
"Peace atlast", she thought aloud
She paused at the edge of the cliff
The silence was eerie, the world stood still
A myriad of memories flooded her mind
Her sweet childhood, her parents - loving and kind
She remembered Him who had granted her life
And gave her strength to survive her daily strife
He gave the blessing of life and had ultimate right to take it away
Who was she to oppose His way?
No, no..she was born with a purpose and was here to stay
