Chapter 11- "Okay fine... I think I kind of like Nathan!"

"Kind of? Your face is as red as a beetroot!" Adrian says, overusing the clichéd simile.

"It is not. And that is such an overused expression. Plus, it's a wrong comparison. Beetroots tend to be pink, not red." I say, eager to take their attention away.

"She's diverting from the topic. She has it bad. It's official. Scarlett Woods is crushing on Nathan Cullen." Allie announces. I go red. They're embarrassing me on purpose. I cringe and say, "Okay, that is so not true."

"Well, it is." Lauren says. "I can see it on your face. Don't worry, Nate's a nice guy. He won't hurt you."

"He better not." Adrian says. I laugh.

Just then, my door bursts open. It's Hazel. I can't imagine what she would want from me right now.

"Did I just hear that ickle-sisterkins is crushing on someone? Who is it?" she demands. Since Hazel has no clue about the whole thing with Jonathan, she thinks I have never liked anyone.

"Nathan. Nathan Cullen" Lauren says.

"Don't call me ickle-sisterkins. I'm not ickle and I'm not sisterkins. I'm Scarlett." I protest.

"Is he cute?" Hazel asks, completely ignoring me.

"You bet. Not hot. But cute." Allie says.

"You're supposed to have a boyfriend!" I say.

"Oh, look, she's jealous already!"Adrian coos. I give up. I officially give up. These girls are going to embarrass me to the moon and back. And it still won't be enough for them. Smirking, Hazel shows me a thumbs-up sign and leaves the room hastily when I glare at her.

The girls get that I've had enough and they don't talk about Nathan at all. Instead, we discuss about how Allie and Evan are going. They're going good and I'm glad. I wouldn't want to see either of them hurt by a break-up.

Adrian says that she has her eyes on some guy but refuses to tell us the name. Allie and I don't push it. Unlike me, Allie and Adrian just have to share everything that they feel. We know Adrian's going to come around sooner or later. I just hope its sooner because I so want to know the name of the latest mancandy in her life! Lauren says Emmett is proving to be a good boyfriend. I can make out that she really likes him and I'm glad. It's the first time Emmett has dated a girl. I'm glad the girl's Lauren.

Soon, the clock chimes a quarter to four. We all pile into Hazel's car. Hazel's best friend, Jenny lives a few streets away. Hazel agrees to pick us up at about 7:30. We drive away. The mall isn't that far and we reach at about 4:10. There's no sign of the three boys anywhere. Adrian says that they might be in the food court. We all agree to go and check.

And sure enough, there he is. Nathan. I may not completely accept the fact that I like him, but it's getting harder to deny it as well. He's worn a light blue, slightly oversized t-shirt and a pair of black pants with shoes. He looks amazing. But for what it's worth, I think he'd look amazing in anything he wore!

He waves and gestures for us to come over. Emmett is slurping on a smoothie and Evan is having ice-cream out of a paper cup. Nathan, on the other hand, is gorging on burgers. Allie frowns at the guys. She can't stand when people eat without manners. Looking at the guys, even saying that would be an understatement. We all know that they aren't going to improve their eating manners anytime soon. Emmett offers to get Lauren and Adrian something while Evan thrusts an ice-cream towards Allie and a smoothie towards me.

Once everyone has something in their stomachs, we decide to go watch a movie. Since there are four girls and three boys, the guys get outvoted four: three and we end up buying tickets for the latest romcom. It's a love story between two teenagers. Cute and cuddly. The movie is sickly sweet, which, ofcourse, ends up getting the guys completely bored. By the time the interval comes around, they're actually begging us to get out.
