Drowning in Words

I'm drowning in a river of words,

Filling up my mind as they rise.

All the things I haven't said.

Thought but never spoken.

Tangled up and rushing past.

 Suffocating.

Each thought and moment thrown inside.

A whirlpool rushes fast,

Sweeping along the terrace of my mind

Always going forward but never back.

A clock strikes twelve as midnight's nigh,

the puzzle only grows.

A hand struggles to write the phrase

But as soon as they come they disappear.

Leaving with a poem of chopped up messy blurs.

Only pieced together by those who heard the words.
