Pinky Promise

Under the lilac tree
Little Annabelle sits
Snaggletoothed & sweet-toothed
With doilies for candies
For the dolls & the dandies
Caramel apples on sticks
And pastries for the picnic
A tea party under the sun
She's having so much fun
With her grass-stained white dress
And pastel petals in her tress
Holding hands so gently
With invisible company
She makes a pinky promise
To never grow old
Even when all of the tea has gone cold
