While explaining how the potion worked, she watched him from the corner of her eye and saw him shake his head. Why would he do that? ... Unless... No, it couldn't be. No one would be that cruel? But as she talked on and his facial expressions changed minimally, she knew it to be correct. She knew
now that no one had ever bothered to show him kindness before. She could feel her eyes tearing up at that and vowed to herself that she would rectify that. She would be nice to him even if he killed her for being an annoying brat as he often called her. But shew knew that she wanted to be nice to him.

She could see him bite his lip and shake his head in disbelief. Her heart clenched at the thought that had raced through her mind before. She wanted to run to him and hug him and tell him everything woul be alright and that he wasn't alone anymore, that he had her from then on if he wanted her. But she didn't know what to do and she knew that this wasn't the right moment to do that. She could see him looking at the vial and than beck at her and then at the vial again. Her heart beat faster whe he stepped closer to her and looked at her and then at the vial again before asking her quietly,

"You did this for me?"

She smiled gently at the question and stepped forward so that she was right in front of him. She was smaller than him and her head only reached to his shoulders, so she had to look up to him as she gently took one of his hands and put the vial in, closing his fingers around it and taking that hand in both of hers as she looked at him earnestly.

"Yes I did, professor. I knew you had to be suffering from all those years that the Dark Lord spent cursing you and that's why I made this potion, to make it easier for you. I know from experience that it isn't easy to move when you're in pain. I just wanted to help, sir."
