To say the rest of 3-A had a field day when they saw you two was an understatement.

Nejire had shrieked with joy only to be quickly muffled by Mirio, who was grinning uncontrollably. A number of girls had stopped to take pictures, giggling behind their hands. The guys for the most part were bemused, both that well known shaky Amajiki would get so close with someone and that it was you, of all people, who they'd never even seen interact before.

You were the first to awake, a sliver of sunlight shining across your face from the very same window from the night before. Your classmates instantly hushed as you moved, raising a hand to sleepily rub your eyes.

Your eyes widened as you took in the circle of classmates surrounding you. Opening your mouth to ask what the hell was going on you froze as something against your chest. Specifically, someone.

Amajiki somehow must've felt you move because he slowly began to rise from the dregs of sleep, eyelids fluttering. His hair was disheveled from you playing with it hours into the night, even when he'd fallen asleep in your arms. He was lying between you and the back of the couch, his face nuzzled into your chest and your fluffy f/c blanket draped over you both.

Amajiki shifted slightly and began to yawn. He looked up, directly into your eyes and you gasped.

You'd never gotten a proper look at his eyes before since he was always hiding his face but now, with his stunning indigo pools staring right into you, piercing your soul, you were instantly enthralled. Time seemed to stop as you were trapped in his gaze.

Realising what was happening as soon as he became aware of his surroundings, Amajiki gasped and started to stutter, instinctively burying back into your arms. "L.. l.. let me go."

You pouted, not wanting to say goodbye just yet. You'd become quickly and strongly attached to the boy and it was starting to show. "But I said I'm not letting go until you smile."

The tips of Amajiki's ears blushed furiously and there was a chorus of 'aw' from your classmates, which you'd completely forgotten about.

"I hate you. I swear you purposely torture me." You winced, aghast at his words. You had to admit, that hurt a little.

You tried to play it off knowing he hadn't seen your expression. "It's what friends do!"

"We're not friends." Okay. Hurt a lot.

"Oh..." You deflated like an old balloon but quickly built back up resolve, a peaceful grin appearing on your face as you remembered your promise. "In that case, I'll make you my friend."

"It's not that simple. You can't do that." Amajiki was now sitting up on your lap, eyes wide. His legs were so intertwined with yours you were scared if he moved you'd both be sent tumbling off the couch. Not that you'd complain.

"Hhmm..." You hummed, turning to the raven haired boy's friends who were watching the events may out with amusement. "And you let Nejire and Mirio adopt you oh so willingly?"

Amajiki tilted his head to the side cutely, resulting in a butterfly flutter in your gut. "Adopt?!"

Nejire, who was in the middle of shooing away the gathered audience began to cackle uncontrollably, having to stop to clutch her stomach. "I mean, you've got him there!"

Mirio gave you an encouraging thumbs up, clearly cheering for the blossoming bond between you and Amajiki. "Good luck!"

"Now if you'll excuse me." You reluctantly released Amajiki from your grip and stood, stretching your arms above your head. "I've a cuppa coffee and foolproof plan to be making."

As you walked towards the kitchen once again, Mirio hurried over and offered a hand to Amajiki who was sitting silently, looking mildly shellshocked.

Mirio couldn't help but feel concern. "Were you serious about them purposely torturing you? I can ask them to stop if that's what you want, you don't have to be friends if—"

"No." Amajiki blurted. "I... well... I..." He gulped, blush now covering his cheeks and spreading to his pointy ears as he stared at the ground. "...I kinda liked it."
