An Odd New Potion Effect (Grian x Mumbo Smut) (Abandoned)

Yo, Toothbrush here. You can call me TB for short. I really won't say much else about myself except that, not even my gender. Just feel like keepin' most things private, y'know? Anyway, just wanted to start with this to let you know a bit about this story, just some things you miiight want to know.

AKA I reeaally hope ya read this.

So to start off, this is my first time writing a fanfiction, let alone a smut. So take it easy, will ya? I've read many, but this is my first time dabbling in it myself.

Next, this will be a multiple chapter work, and I will be working on it over time. I will not have any kind of set-in-stone upload schedule, and I don't know how long this will take, so don't get too antsy for a new chapter. No matter how much ya ask, I work on this when I can and want to. 

Now some notes about the story itself. This is a hermitcraft smut, but it does NOT take place in the game, like many other hermitcraft fanfictions. This is a story that takes place in the real world, between the actual players themselves. (Instances of them using their real names have since been edited out, but you may still find comments referring to those moments before they were edited.)

Now, I believe that both Grian and Mumbo are in relationships IRL, and I respect this. I don't genuinely ship this, I just think they are a cute pair and wanted to write this for fun. To avoid the conflict of both of them being in relationships in real life, that fact is negated in this story. In this story they are both single, but I don't mean to imply I don't respect the fact that they are in relationships in real life. Please don't think that. It's just for this story.

There will also be more facts or events in this story that are not accurate to real life. For example, there is a part planned out where all the Hermits meet up for a kind of planned hang out type thing, where they choose one hermit's house to all meet up and have some type of party at, even long distance hermits. This is NOT based on a real thing they do, I have no fuckin' clue if they do something like this IRL. I dunno, I just wanted that in the story. It's just something I made up. Deal with it, bro.

I also don't watch all the hermits, and don't know everything about their personalities. There may be parts where they act out of character, or unlike their real selves, and I apologize for that. There are some moments that I need to happen to move the story ahead, like hermits getting mad at others, for example. I really don't mean for this to imply I don't like them or they aren't friends, I know they're all good friends and would never mean to be rude to another. I just need some of these things to keep the story moving, I hope you understand.

Oh, btw, this story has fantasy elements. It's got a magical aphrodisiac that straight up just doesn't get explained how it existed in the first place. Yup. In fact, the base concept of this fic is actually quite heavily inspired by a Voltron Klance fanfiction called 'Heatwaves On Autopilot.' It's suuuper good. Go check it out. The story is obviously very different, and some of the mechanics of how exactly the magic stuff works is different, but it still got lots of inspiration from there.

So, I think that's basically all I wanted to say? Eh, whatever, sure. In all honesty, I was mostly just planning to make this for my own enjoyment, but I hope y'all enjoy it too. Have fun!

(Previously, each chapter had random Grian and Mumbo fanart as a header. I have since removed those since young me never asked for permission to use them and I highly doubt the creators want them tied to this fic. I also previously stated that I would eventually create my own fanart for the chapters instead. Given the now abandoned nature of this fic, that is obviously not going to happen anymore. Apologies.)
