Falling (SEQUEL TO 'THE SECRETS WITHIN')

Chapter 5

"I said let me see." He growled, yanking my wrists forward, making me yelp in pain.

"E-Eren let go!" I struggled.

"Why are you still doing this!?" He asked angrily, examining my cuts.

"P-Please Eren it doesnt matt-"

"Armin!" He pushed my wrist away and I held it, looking at him as he stood up and clenched his fists. "Im sick of you always saying things like that! You arent fine, I can see it; I CAN PROVE IT!!" He yelled.

I looked down.

He sighed and sat down next to me. "I dont mean to raise my voice but... This is a serious issue. Armin, you are my husband, you can tell me anything. I dont like how you are keeping these secrets from me; I can help! Please Armin." He looked at me with pained eyes. "Please just tell me."

I looked into his eyes and my expression softened. He really did care and I felt terrible.

"A week before I went into the hospital I started to feel pain in my stomach, it felt as though someone were piercing my stomach with a knife over and over again. Then I started to feel sick and I began getting headaches. I tried to hide it all from you so you wouldnt worry... Then my biopolar started getting worse. I started feeling sad one minute and pissed off the other, and ontop of the being sick and throwing up blood it just all made me feel terrible and I cut. There wasnt even a real reason, I just did it..." I trailed off. "I-Im sorry I put you through all this." Tears formed in my eyes and before I knew it they were streaming down my face like waterfalls.

Eren wiped away my tears and wrapped his arms around me. "Thanks for telling me." He whispered.

I smiled slightly.

At that moment someone pounded on our front door. I quickly put on my shirt and Eren stood up, opening the door to see the two policemen from the interviewing standing there.

Shit.

"Hello." The first one smiled, the second one glared at Eren, who furrowed his eyebrows in return.

"Can I help you?" Eren asked.

"My partner wants to have a look around your house to find your dog. He has suspicions that your dog didnt actually run away." The first one explained, rolling his eyes at the second policeman.

I quickly slipped upstairs while they werent looking and went straight to my room where the kids were asleep on the bed. I shook them slightly and they opened their eyes.

"Where's Luka and Luke?" I asked. Yes, we named the male dog Luke.

Levi pointed to the corner of the room where the two dogs were sleeping. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and panicked.

"Whats wrong?" Levi asked, shooting up. Petra sat up too, looking worried.

"N-Nothing dont worry." I said and threw a blanket over the two dogs. That wasn't the best idea though because they woke up and attacked the blanket playfully.

"I knew it!!" A voice yelled from the doorway.

SHIT.

The cop walked over to the dogs, Luke jumped infront of Luka and growled at the man.

"W-Which one is it?" The cop asked me. I tried to make up an excuse but my mouth wouldnt open. "Answer me." He growled.

"Its neither." Eren said from the doorway, walking towards us.

"Cut the crap-"

"But its true." Eren crossed his arms.

"How?" The cop raised an eyebrow, unimpressed by Eren's lies.

"After Luka went missing we were all really depressed and bought another full grown dog to replace her, but she seemed lonely so we bought a male dog to be her friend." Eren explained. It suprised me how good he was at lying.

"Well thats a lie because look how fiesty she is being!" The cop pointed at Luke. "She obviously remembers-"

"Thats the male." Eren pointed out. The policeman looked and saw he was proved wrong.

"But-"

"I'd like you to get out of my house now." Eren smiled.

"But-"

"Cmon. Im sorry for this." The other policemen said from the doorway, grabbing his partner and walking back downstairs.

"H-How did you..." I gaped.

"It doesnt matter, its all dealt with now." Eren grinned and the kids cheered. I smiled back at him. He was amazing.
