ROWAN P.O.V.

However my laughing was cut short when I turned around.

Behind me stood a devastated looking Pony.

I gulped. I felt so bad for the poor thing. Him and Johnny.

It was around nine, but Pony was the only one there, along with Dally and I. Where were the others?

"I think ill be on my way now." Dally awkwardly coughed, and got out the door, leaving to god knows where, leaving me and Pony alone.

I just kinda started at him and I could tell he had maybe cried a little. I felt so bad.

"Well is it true?" He whispered, his voice cracking.

The thought of saying no crossed my mind, but I wasn't going to lie to the poor boy.

"Yes."

I started at my feet, and I wasn't too sure what to do. I felt so ashamed. I looked up for a second and saw Pony give me a sad smile.

"Okay. Then I guess we're ov-"

"No!" I interrupted. Please, anything but that.

"It happened while you were sick and said a bunch of bad stuff to me. Steve found me stabbing myself and I don't know i guess I was so emotionally broken and didn't know what I was doing that I ended up kissing him." I elaborated and desperately begged.

"Please Pony. Please don't leave me." I choked out, on the verge of tears.

"I'm so sorry Rowan. I know you wouldn't intentionally do that." He calmly said.

"Course not loser. I could never." I let out a sad laugh.

"Come here." He said opening his arms.

I almost ran over to him, and he engulfed me in a giant hug.

So this was home.

"Wake uuup." a singsong voice lightly spoke.

I didn't budge.

"Wake up." It called out, now slightly more annoyed.

I didn't move a muscle. What kind of dream was I even having?

"Wake up! God!" It called out now totally annoyed.

I opened my eyes. What the fuck?

Sodapop fucking Curtis.

"Leave me alone!" I groaned, covering my eyes from the sun.

"Gotta get to school Rowan." Darry called out.

I looked up at him.

"Oh shut up."  I slurred while pointing at him.
