The story starts after the conversation between Rey and Sharon about how irritated and upset he was with Taani which Taani happens to overhear. The difference is that unlike the show this would not be Rey's plan but for real and their break up is not fake but a reality. Swayam would also distance himself from Taani leaving her to deal with life alone.
Some of the storyline might be the same but will have a different point of view.
