38: SUNSET TO SUNRISE

THIRTY-EIGHT: REALITY

THIRD PERSON

"Dani are you okay?" the pink haired girl
Melissa asks Daniel as he was looking out
at the view from the balcony, he nods his
head at the her. Melissa knowing Daniel she
went outside and wrapped her arms around
his skinny body. Daniel turned around and
looked at her, she was still looking into the
sunset like it had something to offer. when
he didn't say anything, Melissa looked at him.
They stared at one another quietly, before
Daniel cracked a smile.

"What?" Melissa asks as she notices the
smugly smile.

"Tell me Melissa, have you ever seen a
sunset turn into a sunrise before?" he asks
her. She cranks a smile and shakes her
head at him.

"Honestly I don't think I have," she replies
with all honestly.

"Well we should try that sometime," he says
as he dazes at her.

"Yeah...we should," Melissa says as she looks
right into his ocean blue eyes, although it was
dark outside she could still see those blue eye
that she fell for about a year ago.

"You know we should try that tonight and kiss
right through the night while I hold you until
the morning," the girl looks at him in awe and
wonders where all those words were coming
from, yeah Daniel was a romantic one with her,
but he was never that romantic where he starts
talking about sunset and kissing. He was mostly
the kind of guy of just to cuddle and sleep all
night.

Before Melissa could even say anything he
leaned down to kiss her lips, a feeling that
she never got used to of how sweet they were.
He felt the familiar feeling of her lips melting
into his he felt the feeling of her cherry
chapstick they were still soft and plump as
always and they fit perfectly into the crease
of his.

he pulled away and kisses her cheek as she
smiles widely, they both look back out into
the sunset and watch it slowly turn into
darkness. They both decided to lay down on
the small couch that was there and as she
places her head back on his shoulder he wraps
a blanket around them as they both look out
into the sky as he holds her while they both talk.

"Have I told you how much I love you?" Daniel
asked Melissa, she chuckles at this sudden
response and shakes her head.

"You know I think you have told me many
times," Melissa says to him as they both laugh.

"Well just know that I love you a lot and that
I think that you're gonna be stuck with me
forever," Daniel says looking down at her.

"Well, I see no problem with that," She replies
back to him as she looks away from the sky
and to him. They lean in for a kiss again and let
night happen on its own.

5:45 AM

As normal Daniel woke up before her,
but he suddenly realized that they had
happened to have slept outside, he really
did wake up to see the sunrise. He smiles
at what he was seeing and looks down to
see Melissa still cuddled up onto him with
her leg over his he smiles at the sight and
kisses her forehead before realizing what
the date was.

"Happy Anniversary, glad to have six more
months until our actual 2 years, but one day,
maybe I could put a ring on your finger before
you change your mind," Daniel quietly
says as he tries not to wake her up, he kisses
her forehead one more time and picks her small
body up and carries her inside to the bed.

Daniel wraps the blankets on top of her and
tucks her in before kissing her one last time
and starting to get ready for the day.

Before Daniel could leave the room Melissa
wakes up from her slumber slightly opens her
eyes just to see Daniel about to open the door.
Melissa groans and which catches Daniels
attention on realizing that she was now awake.

"Go back to sleep," Daniel whispers to her while
slowly walking to her. She nods her head tiredly
and turns her body around so that her back was
now facing the door and cuddled up onto the
blanket.

As Daniel admires her one more time he leaves
the room quietly and heading downstairs just to
see that Jonah and Jack were awake. Although
Jonah wasn't a father he was still holding onto
Velvet while Jack was holding Lavender.

"What are you guys doing up so early? Isn't it
six in the morning?" Daniel asks the two boys as
they still hadn't realized that he was there.

"Oh hey, Lavender was crying a bit and I didn't
want to wake up Gabriela," Jack says to the boy
as he nods his head in response and then looking
to Jonah.

"Oh uh Velvet was also crying and I saw Jack
holding both of them so I offered to help," Jonah
says as he rocks Velvet gently. "How about you?
Why are up so early?" Jonah asks Daniel and
notices him tense a bit.

"Well today is Melissa and I's 1 year with 6 months anniversary and today is also the day," Daniel says
as he emphasizes the word 'the'. The boys look at
him in shock.

"Wait today is the day?" Jack asks Daniel and replies
as he nods his head.

"Wow congrats man," Jonah quietly says.

"Yeah, but I don't know if she's gonna say yes yet,"
Daniel continues as he was on his phone ordering
some food for everyone. "Hey what do you guys
want to eat," he asks the boys

"I'll take some eggs with pancakes," Jack says to
him before saying a 'thank you.'

"I'm going out to eat with Tate, but thanks for
offering," Jonah replies.

"And believe me, she'll say yes. Just don't stress
it too much," Jonah says one last time before going
to his room to start getting ready.

"Everything is going to go great today," Jack says
looking at Daniel as he calms down a bit.

"Promise?" Daniel asks Jack.

"Promise," Jack says one last time before they
both smile at each other before dapping each
other up.
