The Casting

It was the casting day of the very famous, new musical called "New Wife, New Life". It was all about starting a new life with a new girl and leaving your spouse behind. Good message right?

The day was very long and boring for Michael. Audition after audition, he declined so many auditions, some of them average, a bunch of them purely bad most of them just plain boring.

Michael wasn't afraid to say no to a lot of the auditions, mainly because he was a very famous musician and writer and he knew that many, many people would want to be in his musical.

"Next!" He yelled, as the audition ended.

"No, you can't to do that!" Screamed the girl that just auditioned, squeezing the heavy microphone tightly with her hands.

"I'm sorry, I just didn't see the character you auditioned for, in you!" Said Micheal.

"But I was made to play as Miranda!" She yelled angrily.

Miranda was the main character, along with Martin, which was going to be played by Michael. Almost everyone auditioned for this role, which was the girl that takes Martin away from his wife in the musical. Most girls auditioned for this role, simply to get closer to Michael Williams.

The girl stood stubbornly in her place and wouldn't move. Michael signaled for the security guards to come. They  took her by her arm and escorted her out.

"How many more times will the security guards have to escort someone out in just one day?" Sighed Michael, rubbing his eyes with both of his eyes.

He was deep in thought, dreading the next audition he had to listen to, until a manly voice snapped him out of his trance.

"Uhm... hello!" Said the guy, who was anticipating to audition, awkwardly.

Upon hearing a man's voice, Michael was surprised and quite relieved. Surprised, because until now there were only girls auditioning and relieved, because he wouldn't have to hear another squeaky voice for the thirtieth time in a row that day.

"Hi, tell me about yourself and which role you're auditioning for, please." Said Michael, looking into the blonde's eyes.

"Well.. my name is Ian Leeren, I'm twenty five years old and I'm here to audition... for the role of Miranda."  He said nervously, avoiding eye contact.

"Auditioning for what?!" Exclaimed Michael, with a shocked expression on his face.

"I..uhm, Miranda. For the role of Miranda Corral."

"You are well aware, that this role is supposed to be played by a girl, right?" Chuckled Michael, shaking his head.

He couldn't believe what he was hearing, how many crazy things could happen in just one day?

"Y-Yeah.. It just.. stood out to me the most. When I read the script, I felt more connected to that role then any other role." Said Ian, tapping his toes anxiously, on the hard wood floor.

Michael laughed to himself. Oh what a day, he thought. Whatever, he might as well have a laugh and let the guy shoot his shot, why not.
