it was just your average evening at the titans tower, with robin and raven watching tv, star fire cuddling silkie, and beast boy and cyborg playing some game, with beast boy losing most of the time because his attention was on..something else. he'd never admit who it was, though. (A/N- we'll see about that 😏)

while the bright lights of the tv flashed onto star's piercing green eyes, her face lit up with a small smile. she'd noticed the changelings mood change towards raven. she also noticed how raven would no longer throw beast boy out the window every time he made a stupid joke. instead, she'd laugh quietly or smile at him. something had..changed between them. and it was definitely a good thing. star wondered if they'd ever admit their attraction to one another. hmm..
"friends" star said suddenly, rising from her seat: "would you like to participate in the game of truth or dare?"
"truth or dare? sure" said robin a little too eagerly.
"i'm in" said raven, diverting her attention from be- i mean the tv.
"sure" said bb n cy
"ok, we're all in. robin, the truth, or the dare?"
✨✨✨
a few truths n dares later, all five heroes were laughing their asses off after hearing about cyborgs most embarrassing moment, which involved him, a screwdriver, and a karaoke player.
"haha, yeah, i get it! sooo, raaaven, truth or dare?"
said cyborg in a jaunty manner.
"oh, um..dare."
"i dare you to...sing. yeah, sing. a song."
"well what else w-would i sing dumbass?"
she said shakily. she was trying to act sarcastic, but her stutter and the way she twiddled her hair said otherwise.
"oh, i have a song request!" gleefully said starfire. "a song from the movie me and friend raven were watching previously! k-12!"
"k-12?" beast boy said curiously, tilting his head slightly. "i've never heard of it."
"you must watch it some time with me and the others, friend beast boy!" :) (A/N-go check out k-12 it's the best movie ever 🥺) (2nd best is the tt movie lol)
"so,back to the dare.." robin said, slyly grinning at the empath, "sing the first song from the movie"
"but i can't sing" she said flatly. "you'd all laugh."
"we wouldn't!" softly said beast boy, his face the literal 🥺 emoji.
"mmm..if you s-say so." almost-whispered the female titan, standing to face the rest of her team mates. "star, get the instrumental on youtube.." her voice got quiterer and quieter with each word.
"yay!!" the alien cheered, her fingers flying across her phone screen. "ok, get ready..go!"

to say raven was nervous would be an understatement. her hands were shaking slightly and her mind was plagued with worrying thoughts about what the others would think, especially beast boy..
'bing bing bing bing bing bing bing bing bing, bong bong bong bong bong bong..'
well, it was now or never.
she took in a breath and began to sing.
"🎶i'm just looking out the window and it's cold outside
there are two boys yelling behind me and I'm terrified
counting trees as they pass me by
and i'm trying not to look across the aisle
cause maya's letting dan put his hand up her skirt
and she's got her hand down his pants..🎶"

she smiled a little bit at that line, taking a moment to study everyone's emotions. star was a mixture of happy and excited, robin was surprised and proud..aww..cy was just totally focused on the song..and..hold on...
beast boy had this look of utter amazement on his face, his eyes glazed over, his mouth hanging slightly open, cheeks a pale pink. the emotion he was feeling...love?!
raven nearly choked as she nearly struggled to sing the next line, stumbling a little over her words. she could see her face going pink. this was her face: 😳🥴

"🎶i'm quietly observing, i'm saying nothing
no one's watching us, don't give a fuck
wheels on the bus, ooh
i'm holding it down up in the front
wheels on the bus
ooh, ooh, ooh
wheels on the buuus~🎶"

at the end of truth or dare

"goodnight!" smiled robin, exiting the living room. cyborg and star had already gone to bed because it was really late. so that just left raven and beast boy. alone.
beast boy was still a little dumbstruck over raven's dare. how could have such a low self esteem? her voice is beautiful...and so is her face...
"beast boooy.." said raven, waving her hand in front of his face. shit, he thought. i gotta stop zoning out..
"huh? oh, uh, sorry, rae.." he mumbled, smiling and turning candy-floss coloured. "what were you sayin?"
"about my dare..."
oh shit not again beast bitch! you've made a fool of yourself once again! the changeling worriedly thought.
"...what did you think of it? of my singing?" she said nervously, casting her eyes down to her clammy palms that were latched onto her knees.
"it was fucking amazing, rae. christ. please become a singer or something, your voice is like an angel."
"your singing... it was beautiful. i loved it." he said earnestly, looking her straight in the eye and smiling sweetly, mentally cursing himself for thinking of that previous response.

beast boy could hear her heart beat quicken, and he could see the shade of bubblegum her face was going under her hood. could she be any cuter?
"thanks.." she said fondly, playing with the hem of her cloak, "...but you do know i can feel your emotions, right?" she smiled awkwardly.

at this point beast boy was having a mental breakdown.
"uh.."
"so...why were you feeling love when i sang?"
at this point the once green boy had now gone the colour of ripe tomatoes.
"um..well..damn..honestly.." just say it, dude. get it out. "i'm sorry if this is kinda awkward, but raven, you've been my best friend for ages now, like wow, where did the time go." he laughed lightly. "you may not think it, but you're such a great person. you're always here for me. there's no other person i'd want with me  when i'm sad. you never fail to cheer me up. you're...basically my happiness. shit, sorry, that was corny. haha...well, what my stupid brain is tryna say is that...i don't wanna be just friends. i wanna hold your hand and run my fingers through your hair. it's all i think about. i want to hear your voice in the middle of the night, singing quietly in my ear while i hug you tight. i wanna kiss your lips and press the lipgloss remains to your cheek. i just wanna be yours...sorry. just forget i said anything. you probably don't even love m-"

she sealed his lips shut with a kiss, grabbing his face in her hands and pressing their mouths together in years of built up tension. beast boy was taken aback by her affection, savouring the tingle of emotion against his face, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her even closer towards him until she was almost straddling him.
they pulled apart, blushing like crazy. a green hand pushed the girl's violet hair out of her face and drifted to cup her cheek. a sudden bolt of black magic shot out of her fingertips, narrowly avoiding the green leg beneath it.
"monks of azarath, i love you too" emotionally whispered raven, her fingers crackling with every word. "i love you so much. i thought you'd never say, gar. you are the most perfect person i've ever met. i'm...i'm so lucky to have you."

damn that was fast

was it too fast?? idk i feel like there wasn't enough suspense :/
