"Kennedy, I'm serious this could be the end of us!" Luca yells sliding down the side of his car.

"How is Mr. Romero taking our cellphones during study hall the end'" I say, putting my fingers in quotations.

"Well how else will I communicate to you? I can't stand sitting next to Alexis. You're three classrooms down, and it's a dreadful three hours!" He says slurring out the word hours.

"You know, you could actually get your work done. Instead of making your girlfriend help you with it last minute." He smirks at me and wraps an arm around my waist.

"That just means I have the best girlfriend in the whole wide world." He pecks my lips. "Love you."

"Ew gross." I say smiling. "I love you too."

Our conversation is interrupted when we hear the distant school bell ring.

"First period." I mumble grabbing my bag from the back of his car. The school parking lot where we are standing begins to slowly empty. Luca grabs my hand and walks with me into the school. As we reach the front drive of the school I see a male standing next to the right pillar of the school. His eyes meet mine, but quickly shift away. Luca notices that I slow down and tugs my arm lightly making me look to him.

"You all right?" he asks. I look back to see the male gone. Confused, I continued walking.

"Yeah i'm good." I smile at him as we walk. The halls are filled with students. Some sitting on the floors in front of their lockers, and some just trying to get to class.

"I'll see you at lunch alright?" Luca says squeezing my hand.

"See you then." He smiles at me walking away.

I turn around to walk into class and immediately am smashed into.

"Ow" I say rubbing my forehead. I glanced up shocked to see Remis Clayton, quarterback of the football team, and head of student council.

"You alright?" He says grabbing my arm and moving me to the side of the hall so the students can get in the room. I was shocked by this action, as I totally expected him to keep moving. We have never spoken before, but he's well known.

"Uh, yeah i'm fine. Thanks." I say with a hint of awkwardness in my voice.

"No problem, uh.." He trails off trying to remember my name. My eyes roll practically all the way back to my head.

"Kennedy. It's Kennedy Smith, you know the girl who's been in your graduating class literally since kindergarten."

His eyes light up "Right Kennedy, sorry it's been a long day".

"First period hasn't even started." I scoff.

"Right well-" I cut him off by walking away into the classroom, taking my seat as the last of the students poured into the classroom. Remis walks in last sitting down in the front of the room as usual. There is something about the way he carries himself. Like if he were to tip his head his invisible mighty crown would fall off. Full of himself so much he doesn't even bother to learn the names of his graduating class that he vouches for.

"Head of the student council my ass" I mumble to myself. I look up to see Remis staring at me. I quickly look down feeling my face get hot with embarrassment. I didn't mean to say that out loud, he was just trying to be nice to me. I glimpse back up to him, he gives me a heartwarming smile. I am even more confused by this point. Quickly my thoughts get interrupted by the teacher coming into the class. Mrs. Flaunter is a scrawny woman with long brown hair. Everyday she wears some type of pencil skirt and floral blouse. It also seems like she is always late, probably due to the coffee cup from java house in her hands.
