Zya POV
As I walk into the gym and sat my bags down I see my bestfriend Julia running around getting chased by a rat that we named Zoey. I laugh and looked around trying to find my other bestfriend Marianna who was sitting down on the bleachers eating McDonald's, I giggled. I was a junior in high school I was a kinda plus size girl with pass shoulder length hair with curls, I was 4'11 and I was thick. I had two bestfriends of mines. Julia and Marianna, Julia was a Mixed girl that did crazy ass shit for fun,and marianna is my darkin friend. And there is me the brownskin, I was a basketball player one the best on the team to be exact. My number was 17, as I come from out the girls locker room I see Lathan the captain of the boys football team. Let's be honest he was fine asf plus he was my bestfriend since kindergarten I ran and hugged him he looked down at me and laugh. "Wassuh Zya" I smirked he playfully rolled his eyes and gave me my candy that he promise me. "Thank u" "yea yea yea watevea, wtf is wrong with Julia" I looked over and seen Julia twerkin the basketball on her butt. "Julia!!" She looked at me and smiled and waved, "get yo ass over here" I said she looked down at the ball and passed it to me jogging towards us... "bitch ass" I laugh as Julia beat tf out of Lathan for snitching on her. They was cousins. I laugh and grab the basketball and started shootin I felt eyes staring at me and looked over seen my boyfriend Dominic, he walked away her and grab my waist kissing me I looked down at the ground and moved away and started back shootin. "Damn....so it's like dat??" I tuck the ball under my arm and looked at him. "Yes it is like dat" he huffed and looked at me, "come on, you really mad at me cause I cheated on you??!" I looked at him and rolled my eyes. I had anger issues but I could control them but with Dominic around.....it was impossible, he smirked and laugh... "can't help dat she skinner than u" I looked "better leave me alone before I throw dis this ball at u and beat yo ass" Lathan and Julia and marianna looked. Dominic laugh and pushed me mosey ran but I already hit him in the face with da ball and started whoopin his ass.... I was hurt, I gave it uh to him and this how he treated me.....I felt me getting pulled off of him while he was leaking. I looked at Lathan as he talked to the coach about it, "yo he was messing with her and she beat his ass" the coach gave Lathan a look and he walked off where we was, "his ole funky ass tried to hurt yo damn feelings and got balls to da face" Julia said laughing along with Marianna me and mosey laugh. "Aye Zya come here" I looked and jogged back over to Lathan looking at him. "Yea??" "Can u come over so we can chill foe a while" I nodded and hugged him....after I showered and did all my things I needed to do I ran downstairs and grab my keys off the kitchen counter and got in my car going over to Lathan house. As I knocked on the door I seen Lathan standing there with a blunt behind his ear I walked in and sat down on his couch grabbing the basketball dat was on the floor and spent it on my finger looking at Lathan lighting the blunt walking over towards me, he was finishing it off he sat down beside me and looked over at me. "Wat??" I said letting out a laugh, he smirked and looked at me with a smile...."nun I just miss my bestfriend dat is all" I laugh and laid on his lap playing with the basketball

Lathan and I talked for hours and it was pass 11 so I decided to stay over at his house even though we had school tomorrow... I looked at Lathan who was looking at his phone , "Zya can I ask u something" I nodded he cut his phone off and looked at me grabbing me by the neck kissing me I kissed back feeling his tongue slide inside of my mouth our tongues wrestle for a while before we pulled back catching our breath,Lathan looked at me and started talking..... "Zya I-" "no Lathan we can't,we are bestfriends and ion want to ruin dat." He nodded and got up "um I'm going to bed u coming??" I nodded and ran upstairs laying on his bed he sigh and got in falling asleep I sigh and turn the other way staring at the wall thinking dat I did I make the right decision

The next day at school Lathan wouldn't talk to me at all.....I was hurt but I knew he needed some time and space... I sat beside Lathan who was looking at his phone. He soon looked up and went to get up out of his sit but I grab his arm, "no Lathan please" he sigh and say down and looked straight ahead, I sigh and started doing the project that me,cane assigned to us I soon felt a tap on my arm and I looked up to see Lathan showing me a drawing he made of a swan. I smile and looked at him he bite his lip and showed me the schedule of basketball practice. The schedule was posted today at a very late time... we only had a day to practice before the big game come up... I looked over at Lathan who had a worry look on his face, the boys had it bad bc the guys basketball coach wasn't here today nor tomorrow and this can be really really bad for the boys

I was in the gym shootin when I seen Julia and Marianna point at Dominic who was making his way over to me with a busted lip and a black eye. I groan "Thompson, get off the court right now!!" He didn't listen to coach Tanya and kept walking towards me I dropped the ball but Lathan got in front of him. "Put yo hands on her if yo dumb ass want to and get fucked uh" he nodded and looked around Lathan "dis shit ain't over with fat bitch" "bitch yo mama" me and Lathan along with marianna looked at Julia and started laughing he rolled his eyes and walked off I laugh and looked at Lathan who was smiling at me I laugh and hugged him "thank u Echols" he laugh at me calling him by his last name. I soon finished basketball practice me and my friends decided to chill with Lathan and his homies dat came from vacation back to Seattle I haven't seen Jay and them in so long I was happy to spend time with my boy......as soon as we pulled up to my house I got out and looked at something that hurt me to the core......I was hurt I looked at Lathan and Julia and Marianna who got out the car and looked in disbelief along with me....my eyes was tearing up and my heart was sooo heavy who could really do this to me and why would they do this to me.....they destroyed the only house I had ever since I was born....how am I gonna explain this to mom and dad when they come back from vacation??? And what about all of the memories??? And good times?? And the decorations??? The pictures and clothes???.....all......GONE!!!
