Kellin's POV

Beep Beep Beep Be-

I open my eyes and turn off my alarm, laying back down in my bed and staring at the ceiling.

"Doesn't that noise mean that you're supposed to get up?" My roommate, Justin, teases.

"I'll get there." I mumble, turning over in my bed and closing my eyes.

"Dude, you're gonna fall asleep again." He says, hitting me over the head with a pillow.

"Ugh, dude. I was just resting my eyes!" I say, slightly irritated at him.

"Yeah, okay dude. You got class in 10 minutes, probably nine now. And no offence, but you look like shit dude. Get up." He says.

"It's not my fault that someone decided that we should get drunk last night." I mumble.

"Hey, it's not like I pressured you to do it. I offered, and you took it. Don't blame me for your irresponsible actions." Justin says, holding his hands up in mock-surrender.

"Whatever." I mumble, getting out of bed and grabbing my bottle of Advil and a water bottle, popping a couple pills and washing it down with the water.

I throw on some sweatpants and a sweatshirt, running my fingers through my hair in attempt to fix some of the fucked up strands.

Then, I'm grabbing my backpack and walking to class.

-

Class wasn't that eventful, and it honestly never was.

I'm walking down the hallway, making my way to my dorm when I realize I forgot my whole ass bag in my class.

I sigh as I turn around, walking back to the classroom and peaking my head in, seeing my professor talking to someone who I couldn't exactly see.

"I-I'm sorry I couldn't get the essay in on time. I-I'm just going t-through something, and I-I don't have anybody a-and I don't know what to do." The person cries, and suddenly I'm hesitant about walking in the class.

Obviously this person is having a tough time, and I don't really wanna barge in. What if they don't wanna be seen like that? I know that I sure wouldn't want anyone to see me like that.

I sigh as I walk to the bathroom, deciding to stay in here for a couple minutes and try and give the person a little bit of time.

After about ten minutes of stalling in the bathroom, I walk out and make my way back to Professor Gontier's class.

I lean my head against the door and don't hear any talking, so I turn the handle and walk in, taking a peak around.

"Oh, hey Kellin. Here for your bag?" Professor Gontier asks.

"Yeah." I say, a faint blush evident on my face. "I got to my dorm room and realized I left it here. Sorry about that."

"It's quite alright." He says, handing the bag to me. "Have a good day, Kellin."

"You too." I say back with a smile, walking out of the class and back to my dorm.

Once I reach my dorm, I see something that makes me pause.

There's a bright yellow sticky note at the top right of our door, Justin and I's code for 'I have someone over, don't come in.'

We started this code after Justin walked in on me and Jack...going at it. Our rule is that if the sticky note is there, don't come in until it's gone.

I sigh as I walk away, deciding that I was going to head to Jack's dorm instead.

I walk for a while before I reach his dorm, knocking on it and seeing Jack come out a couple seconds later.

"Oh, hey Kellin!" He says with a huge smile. "I wasn't expecting you today."

"Oh sorry. Didn't realize I couldn't stop by my boyfriends dorm." I say jokingly.

"Come in, dork. And don't worry, Alex isn't here." He says with a wink.

I blush as I walk into the dorm, sitting down on his bed and stretching my arms out, letting him know that I want cuddles.

He chuckles as he hugs me. "You're too cute."

"Yeah, yeah. Just cuddle me." I say with a smile.

"Okay bossy." He says, pushing me down onto the bed and wrapping his arms around me, smiling at me.

"So, what brought you over?" He asks.

"Well, Justin had someone over. And I really didn't want to have to see that." I explain.

"Ah, I see." He nods understandingly.

We stay that way for a while. Him cuddling me as we make small talk.

"Apparently Vic Fuentes is having a party tonight." Jack says.

"Ugh, that bitch?" I say, rolling my eyes.

"You got something against him?" Jack asks, questioningly.

"Just heard bad things. Everyone says he's full of himself. I heard he also has a lot of one night stands and promises to call people back, but never does. Just seems like a douche." I explain.

"You've never met him though, right?" Jack questions. "I mean, maybe those are just rumors. You can't really say you hate him if you've never met him."

"I guess I just hate his reputation." I explain.

"Well, I'm going to his party. You're welcome to come, if you'd like. If you don't want to, though, that's fine too. I'm not going to make you go." Jack explains, rubbing his hand up and down my back.

"Why're you going? Do you know him?" I question.

"Well, you know Nick? My friend? He's Vic's cousin." Jack explains.

"Oh, I feel sorry for him." I say.

"Kellin." Jack says, his tone of voice telling me he's slightly annoyed with my attitude.

"I'm sorry Jack, I just don't like him. You're welcome to go to his party, but I'm not joining you." I explain.

"Okay." He says. "That's fine."

I take a glance at my phone and see that it's been an hour, I'd hope that Justin would be done by now.

"Well, I'm gonna head back to my dorm." I say, getting up from Jack's bed.

"Hey now, wait. Are you upset with me?" Jack asks, concern laced within his eyes.

I sigh. "No, I'm not upset with you Jack. I love you."

He smiles. "I love you too."

"I'll see you later." I say.

"Okay, bye."

"Bye."

I walk out into the hallway and make my way back to my own dorm, thankfully seeing the sticky note gone from the door.

I walk in and immediately collapse onto my bed, not even bothering to take a second glance at Justin.

"Thank you." He says simply, but I know what he means.

"It's no problem, dude. Don't even worry about it."
