Dear Santa
Dear Santa,
This year I am not asking you to bring me a list of gifts
This year I have a different type of list
I am not asking you for gifts for me
But gifts for my friends who are more needy
My friend Sally needs some winter boots
The pair she has is full of holes
The snow gets in and then she shivers
Because it freezes all her toes
My friend Bobby is sad this year
His Daddy lost his job
Bring him a new bike so he will smile
It makes me sad to see him sob
Billy’s daddy left his mom
And extra money just isn’t there
All his clothes is worn and patched
So bring him some new clothes to wear
Tina’s parents died last year
The plane they were on suddenly crashed
She lives with her Nanny now
And they are always short of cash
Penny’s little brother is really sick
And I know he is going to die
The only thing I ask of you
Is to keep her brother alive
And to all the boys and girls
Who stay at the orphanage
Please give them a Mommy and Daddy
So they will have a place to live
As for me, Santa, well
I got my gift from God above
I have my friends and family
And a house full of love
So if you pass me by this time
Don’t have any fear
I will have a long list for you
To bring me next year
Thank you Santa,
Zoey
