Bad Dream
I had a bad dream last night
I woke up crying in bed
I went to Mommy and Daddy’s room
To see if I could sleep with them
They both gave me hugs and kisses
Said everything was going to be all right
Daddy brought me back to my room
And tucked me in again, for the night
He said I was a big girl now
And I should sleep in my own room
I asked if he could stay with me for a while
As I would be asleep soon
Daddy sat up in my bed and sang a song
His voice as sweet as can be
I fell fast asleep and when I awoke the next morning
Mommy and Daddy were in bed with me
