APEX LEGENDS: The New Legend

Huntress: The New Champion

      "Octane! On your left!" I yell through comms as I watch Octavio inject himself with his stim and throw his jump pad, just barely missing the shots fired at him.

     "You got bamboozled, look at you! Haha!" I heard Elliot exclaim as he knocked down Wraith, who had shot his decoy.

     "Hey, Chica! Now would be a great time for your abilities!" I heard Octavio yell. 

    I sighed and finally gave in. I took a deep breath before pressing a small button on my forearm. My Ultimate Ability, The Daemon, was activated.

"Let's get this party started, shall we?"

I felt my body grow stronger and faster, my eyes turning a bright purple. I pushed forward, spotting Bloodhound and Pathfinder on either sides of me. I then slid down a hill, pulling out my R-301 and locking in on Pathfinder. I fired the R-301 and broke Pathfinder's shield, then pulling out my Spitfire and knocking him down. I reloaded both of my weapons and kept the Spitfire out. I ran towards Bloodhound and grinned.

I could hear a shout of "Allfather give me sight!" from near me. Bloodhound entered Beast of the Hunt, this should be interesting.

Bloodhound emerged from behind a rock and I darted at them, I pulled up my Spitfire and started shooting at them, shooting their shield off. I didn't notice how low my Ultimate had gotten, nor the amount of shield I had left. Bloodhound knocked me with a Havoc.

I crawled away as fast as I could, activating my purple knock down shield. Bloodhound ran at me and attempted to finish me, twirling their knife. I braced for the impact but it never came.

"Boo-yah!! Hahaha!" Octavio yelled as he knocked and finished Bloodhound.

Suddenly, the announcer voice boomed from speakers, "WE HAVE YOUR APEX CHAMPIONS."

Octavio and Elliot cheered and they both helped me up, raising me onto their shoulders and parading around. I yelped but it quickly turned into laughter as I joined in with the cheering.

This was so surreal. I just won my first Apex Game.

"WOOHOO!!" I yelled as I pumped my fists into the air.

Elliot and Octavio gently set me down and they both offered me high fives.

"Chica that was amazing!! You were on fire!" Octavio exclaimed.

"Yeah, you weren't half bad kid. That was amazing for your first game." Elliot said with a wide smile.

I smiled wide as well, "Thank you both, but I definitely couldn't have done it without you two."

Suddenly, a drop-ship landed near us. The hatch opened and Elliot started walking toward it. Octavio wrapped his arm around my shoulders and lead me toward the hatch. I couldn't help but smile, I was already making friends and I had just won my first ever Apex Game. This day was turning out to be amazing.
~back at the headquarters~

Once we made it back to the headquarters, Octavio and Elliot lead me back to the lounge room, where I was met with applause and cheer by most of the Legends.

"Good job out there, rookie. You put up one helluva fight." Anita said as she approached me.

"She's quite the fighter, don't ya think?" Octavio asked excitedly.

"Guys, I can't take all of the credit. Octavio really saved my ass out there. Elliot as well. I wouldn't have done so well if it weren't for them." I said, an embarrassed blush creeping onto my face.
