Through an online game, they met each other again, scared of taking chances for the sake of the word "friendship"

Y/N and Haechan are so close, they go to school together , eat lunch together , go home together, and many more. Just like salt and pepper. They both love teasing each other, some students are jealous of them because they almost looked like a couple
Y/N met Haechan because of her brother Huang Renjun, they are both trainees along with Jaemin, Jeno, and Chenle her cousin.
After practicing, Haechan pulled Y/N's wrist and run towards the rooftop, the view up there is so beautiful, the tall buildings and lights coming from different houses

"What is this for?" Y/N asked him while fixing the chair so she can sit down
"Have you forgotten already? It's our friendship anniversary!" he also sat down
"Ohhh I see" Y/N is still amazed by the view and looked at Haechan staring at her
Haechan have the feelings for Y/N but he can't tell her because he doesn't want to ruin their friendship
He noticed Y/N staring at him for almost 1 minute and suddenly looked away, at this point he cannot control his feelings
"I need to control this for the sake of our friendship"
He holds Y/N's hands at looked at her while smiling "To make this friendship last longer, lets play a game, if someone falls inlove between us , he or she will lose the game"he extended his arm for a hand shake
Y/N was suddenly shocked on what Haechan said , of course she have a huge crush on Haechan but also she doesn't want to ruin the friendship once they got into a relationship
"Deal Mr.DORKhyuck" shaking hands with him
"So now the game has officially started" Haechan smiled at Y/N and he hugged her tightly
"I love you as a friend" he said and she hugged Haechan back

The next day, both of them are eating at the canteen area with the other dream members when someone tapped Haechan's shoulder
"Can I talk to you for a while?" a student asks Haechan, he stood up and followed the guy
Y/N was so curious about it so she finished her food and followed the two
When they made it at the garden , Y/N saw the both of them stopped so she hid herself at the bushes when the student starts to speak
"Are you and Y/N dating?" Haechan widened his eyes when he heard that question
"No, we dont, we're just friends thats all" the student nodded , he was about to go back but the student talked again
"So can I date her?" when he heard the word date he suddenly asked "Why?" turning his heels towards the guy
"She kind, intelligent and pretty" the guy looked down. Haechan can feel his heart aching "No you can't date her"
The guy looked at him "But why?You said you are just friends and nothing more, unless—you like her or something" he smirked
Haechan can feel his blood boiling for this guy because he had enough
" I said we're just friends okay? F- R- I- E- N-D- S! nothing more special and I don't even like her! if you want her, go and date her, why would you ask me in the first place?" he screamed loudly enough for the guy to hear him.
Y/N heard all of their conversations and tears beginning to flood her visions, she started to run inside and went to the restroom immediately sitting at one cubicle
She can feel her world collapsing, that Haechan doesn't feel anything aside from being friends.
"it's painful when someone you love doesn't love the same way like you did." Y/N mumbled.
She stood up and fix herself and went back to the canteen, she saw Haechan eating with the others, she sat down smiling at them
"Where did you go? What happened to your face?" Jaemin asked while looking at Y/N's face
All of them looked at her" Oh nothing, I just showered my face since its hot here" Jaemin nodded and continued eating
Y/N looked at Haechan eating peacefully "I think its true because he looks happy about it" she said in her mind
She went home and turned on her PC and played PUBG, while playing she suddenly remembered the words coming out from Haechan's mouth
" I said we're just friends okay? F- R- I- E- N-D- S! nothing more special and I don't even like her!"
She felt so angry and put all of her stress on the game but she remembered the deal with Haechan
"For the sake of our friendship"she calmed herself and forgot about everything what happened that day
Their mother told them that they are going to transfer schools immediately that's why she didn't have a time to say goodbye to Haechan, Jaemin and Jeno
As the time went by, her brother Renjun debuted successfully with the other NCT Dream members but she haven't met the 2 other members yet

Jaemin and Jeno followed them at their new school leaving Haechan behind with Mark and Jisung. But Y/N still keep in touch with Haechan, texted and meet each other every weekends but she got too busy on studying so she didn't have time to see Haechan again
