Jordan Riley is a sweet thing that deserves so much love. It's practically stated in the first chapter, but his dad was a pos and Jordan Riley did not deserve that and I cannot wait to write all the positive character development that this boy goes through.
he just wants love, and to cuddle in big sweaters and listen to music and go to church with his future spouse. I love him so much 🥺

and let's talk about Carter Mays— the man who started a whole lgbt group in a religious town bc he knew that these kids needed support from their community. he knows what these kids are going through, as Carter Mays is canonically trans, like Brian Michael Smith himself. and like, he doesn't put up with the bullying or toxic masculinity.
also, there's a line that he says in the book that I love ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
❝You are more than sins and sexualities.❞
and like, Carter just dedicates his life to make sure that these kids are loved and have connections to their communities are educated. he's a whole angel.
