"Mum I'm home!" I called out as I stepped through the door. My mum would usually call out something like 'Make sure to wipe your feet on the doormat' but this time she didn't.

"Mum? Where are you?" I asked and laughed nervously. She's probably trying to scare me and is going to jump out at me at any second.

Any second now.

I walked into the living room but she wasn't there. I went into the kitchen next but she wasn't there either.

"Mum? I swear if you're trying to play a prank on me it's not funny!" I yelled as I went upstairs to look for her.

I walked into my room and looked behind the door to see if she was hiding there.

Nope.

I looked inside the bathroom and she wasn't there either.

She's probably asleep in her bed actually.

I walked into her room but she wasn't in there either.

"Mum? Where are you?" I said as I went into her en suite.

What I saw would stay with me forever.

"AAAAAAAHHHHH!" I screamed.

I looked around and realised I was in the girls toilets at school. I sighed and remembered that it was a long time ago. It's not happening now Violet you're okay.

"You on your period hun? I've got a few spare pads if you need one?" A voice called out. I realised it was Riley. She's one of the popular girls but she seems nice. This morning she had helped a girl who had fallen over and doesn't seem that snobby.

"No I'm alright." I said as I wiped the tears that ware sliding down my face.

"You sure? I've got some tampons as well if you want them." She said.

"No it's fine." I said coming out of the stall and smiling at her.

"We're you crying as well? It's alright I've just had a good cry in there as well." She said laughing and her green eyes shined as she smiled.

"You could say that." I said as I washed my hands.

"We'll be alright though won't we." She said smiling at me as we both left.

"Yeah." I wish.

She turned left and I turned right and went to my lesson. I had science right now and was probably late. Come on Violet you have to pull yourself together.

I found my room but the door was closed. If it was open I could've just snuck in.

I knocked on the door and heard a come in. I took a deep breath and prepared myself for all the stares.

"Oh you must be Chase Norbury." The teacher said as she smiled at me.

Did I forget to mention I changed my name? Whoops silly me I guess.
