The occasional beep of the heart monitor showcased the steady beat of her heart as she lay unconscious in the medical bed. An IV was inserted into her vein on her right arm so that fluids such as water and nutrition can easily be accessible to her body while she was in an comatose state. Her blonde hair lay spread out beneath her head like a golden halo, her chest rising and falling in a regular breathing pattern.

A woman with a white lab coat and auburn, wavy hair, entered the room where she lay eyes closed with a small smile on her face as she looked at peace. The woman checked the monitor and her vitals for any change, only to find there was none as her vitals stayed stabilized while she slumbered. The woman sighed, replaced the IV bags once again as the liquid within it was almost finished, before leaving the room once more, closing the door softly behind her as to not disturb the blond woman in the room inside.

"Any changes yet Caitlin?"

The woman now known as Caitlin shook her head at the young man with dark long hair that fell to his shoulders. He was hunched over a computer, his eyes tracking the footage of a street as an blue blur shot past, quickly followed by an orange blur as they raced through the city, with lightning trailing behind both of them.

"None so far Cisco, how is Barry holding up?"

Cisco sighed as he switched to another footage on the computer, this one showing the blue lightning left behind by a black figure as he ran, captured by the camera on the chest of a man dressed in red with the iconic symbol of the lightning bolt in the center of his suit.

"Not good, I don't think Barry is fast enough to beat Zoom."

The said creature named Zoom suddenly turned around and punched the face of the figure in red quickly before using that distraction to disappear out of sight. The figure in red stood up from the ground in which he had been knocked down on, due to the force of the punch from Zoom, before scouring the streets of Central City to find the black creature. He screamed out in frustration when he came to a stop, realizing that Zoom was long gone by the time he recovered.

Frustrated that he let Zoom slip through his fingers again, having been so close to catching him, Barry raced back to STAR labs to report and come up with a better plan to beat Zoom. Flashing into the cortex, Barry let out an angry huff as he pulled off his red cowl masking his true identity from the world. Running a hand through his hair, Barry plopped himself down on one of the chairs nearby and clenched his fist tightly, slamming it on the table before him. Startled by his sudden appearance and the loud crash that followed from his fist making contact with the table, both Cisco and Caitlin jumped, reaching a hand out to their chest to calm their racing heart as they realized it was just their friend Barry in the cortex.

"Calm down man, what did the poor table do to you?"

Barry sighed before hiding his face in his hands as he let out a loud groan. Caitlin went behind him and gently rubbed his shoulder to help calm him down while Cisco seated himself in the chair across from his, nudging his friend's leg with his own. Barry looked up at his friend before slowly standing up, shrugging off Caitlin's hand that was on his shoulder and started pacing back and forth.

"This is the fifth time this month that Zoom slipped through my fingers again. There has to be something we can do, something , something that can help us stop him."

He ran his hand through his hair again, brows furrowed in concentration as he tried to come up with a strategy to take down Zoom. His eyes darted around the cortex, as if the answers were hidden there, before they stopped on the blonde woman that could be seen through the glass wall, laying on the bed. Releasing a breath, he eyed the unconscious woman worriedly before turning to address the bio-engineer, about her condition.

"Is she alright?"

Caitlin sighed before making her way to the glass wall the separated her from them, watching the steady rise and fall of her chest. Her head and stomach had been wrapped tightly with gauze and white bandages, a plain sand colored band-aid was stuck to her left hand, where a scratch had been and her hands were folded neatly on her stomach, a golden pendent resting on the middle of her chest, rising and falling gently with every breath she took.

"She has a mild concussion and various bruises across her abdomen. However other than a small scratch on her left hand, those are the major injuries on her body. It may take some time, but she'll pull through."

Barry let out a sigh of relief before walking closer to the glass wall to catch a better look of the woman. He couldn't see much from his perspective as a part of her hair shielded her face from him but from what he could tell, she looked to be a very pretty woman.

"Why would Zoom go to another universe? Why drag her here with him? What does he want with this woman?"

Barry drew his eyes from the blonde to his dark haired friend as Cisco mused out loud. Caitlin faced Cisco as she adopted a thoughtful look on her face as she tried to come up with a reason as to why Zoom might want the woman that lay in the med bay.

"Maybe Zoom wanted to lure you into an unfamiliar territory where he can have an advantage over you?"

Barry stilled, considering her thought for a moment before shaking his head. He turned his gaze on the blonde again, continuing to mull over his thoughts as to why Zoom may want this woman.

"No, Zoom is not like that. He is always ten steps ahead each time we encounter one another. He is planning something, something big. We just have to find out what exactly his plan is."

Cisco and Caitlin gazed solemnly at their friend as Barry continued to gaze at the woman, something about her just making it hard for him to draw his sight away from her. He had never seen this woman in his life before now, yet he is already captivated by her. There seems to be something unique about her that has his undivided attention. Perhaps its the way her golden hair frames her face, or the peaceful expression on her face that made her look like an slumbering angel, or the odd feeling he feels in the pit of his stomach that such a beautiful woman like her was dragged into this mess by Zoom. He may not know her, but he knows that whoever this woman is, she did not deserve to be dragged from her home into a foreign world without having been given a choice.

"I don't know what he's planning, but whatever it is, it involves her being in it."

Cisco and Caitlin glanced at each other, sharing an unspoken message through their eyes before turning to face Barry once more. They each placed an hand on his shoulder, causing him to snap his gaze from the woman to look into the determined eyes of his friends.

"Well, whatever it is know that-"

Cisco's sentence was cut off as a loud gasp erupted from the woman on the bed who had jolted up into a sitting position. Their eyes widened as they quickly made their way towards the med bay, where the woman looked around frantically in fright at her new surroundings. The heart monitor loudly beeped as her breathing sped up and with it, her heart rate, in panic. Caitlin placed her hands on the blonde's shoulder, murmuring soothing words to calm her down.

The girl seems to relax under Caitlin's touch eventually as she recognized her voice from earlier, before she passed out. Sighing in relief as the frantic beeping slowed down, indicating the steady beating of her heart, Caitlin focused her attention on the woman before her dressed in dark blue jeans and a baby pink top, now calm and gazing at her with cautious eyes. Her right hand grasped the gold heart pendent around her neck that rested on the middle of her chest. The tone of her voice was soft and friendly with an underlying firmness that portrays her alertness over her current situation.

"Where am I and who are you people?"
