I said "I'm fine"
After I spent the night
Crying Into my pillow
Until sleep dragged me away
I said "I'm fine" after
The bruises developed
And the blood dried
By my eyes never seemed
More empty
I said "I'm fine" after
My food was taken
To an alternative place
Leaving my stomach empty
And a thinner waist
I said "I'm fine" after
They called me horrid names
Shoved me against walls
Spat in my face
I said "I'm fine"
After I wished to dissapear
Into dreams
And darkness
That seems more
Beautiful
As each day passes
I said "I'm fine"
After he broke my heart
Into small pieces
And threw my body
To the dogs
I said "I'm fine"
When I really wished
That was true
Just so I wouldn't be
A burden to you
I said "I'm fine"
That doesn't mean
You should believe me
