Alex POV

I didn't know where to go.

Never in a million years had I ever even thought of Seth breaking up with me,

I walked in silence. the slight drizzle turned into a freezing down pour.

My clothes were soaked, my hair was soaked. I was shaking and my toes were numb.

I breathed heavily and my shoulders shook. I seemed to run out of tears. it's like I'm broken beyond fixing.

I was lost too, I felt like I've been walking in circles and it was getting dark.

I sat on the damp grass and tried to use my bag as a pillow. I pulled my legs to my chest and wept without tears.

I was empty. I had no thoughts, no feelings. everything. I've ever had was gone.

They were right, the kids in my old school. I'm not worth anything. no one will ever love me, even my soul mate.

As quick as it took for me to fall into darkness, I was awoken by a strangely bright light.

I opened my eyes. I was in a hospital.

Carlisle was next to my bed, the vampire from the Cullen clan.

"Carlisle?" I choked out.

"Alex, my son found you unconscious on the side of the road. are you alright? You have slight hypothermia."

"I'm fine," I fiddled my fingers.

"What were you doing out there?"

"I left. I didn't know where to go so I kept walking until I got tired,"

"I called Seth an-" I jumped.

"You called him?"

"Yes, you are not well, and you need a place to stay," he answered.

I wanted to cry again. I sighed.

"Seth doesn't want me anymore,"

"Now darling, I know that isn't the case. he will always love you," he tried to comfort me.

I pulled my legs to my chest as I felt the hole start to expand.

Seth and Sue walked in.

Seths jaw dropped and he looked upset.

"Sweetheart! oh my, honey!" Sue exclaimed, like a mother.

I looked down at my knees, not saying anything as Carlisle excused himself to talk to sue privately.

Seth sat on the edge of my bed.

"Alex I-" he started

"I don't want to hear it, the damage is done,"

I broke down again. my hands flew to my face.

"I just wanted you to be happy," his voice cracked.

"What ever made you think I wasn't?" I wanted to scream at him but I controlled my voice.

He sat silently. his face made my heart hurt.

***the next day***

Carlisle waved at us as sue drove me back to their house.

"Seth help her out, I'll set up blankets." sue ordered.

Seth opened my door and grabbed onto my elbow, he lead me inside. he watched my every move. I sat on the couch.

Seth surprised me by piling more blankets on me.

I had at least ten blankets. I watched movie after movie, and ate whatever Sue made for me.

Seth slept on the floor outside the hallway, so he could watch me.

And in the morning sue left for work.

I woke up to Seth sitting next to the couch, sobbing.

"I'm so sorry this happened, it's all my fault," he sobbed more as I laid awkwardly looking at him.

Seeing him like this hurt more than the hypothermia did.

"It's not all your fault." I whispered.

He looked up, surprised at what I said

"I could've stayed, but I chose to leave."

"I should've stopped you," he said

"Stop that." I snapped at him.

"What?" He was taken aback.

"It's not all your fault and your gonna have to accept that."

"But-"

"No buts Seth," I felt like crying again. I hated fighting with him.

He looked at my face, and I laid back. what did I get myself into.
