Katniss is eight months pregnant with Peeta's baby. They were very happy because they waited for this moment for a long time. And not they got it. They were so excited to hold the baby and take care of it. But when reaping day came everything changed. Katniss and Peeta were reaped. When the people saw this they complained to the Capitol for their cruelty. They said Katniss shouldn't be in the games because she was pregnant. But it was useless. The Capitol didn't take Katniss away from the games.
After 3 days in the games Katniss gave birth. She was in so much pain, her body went into shock. She died giving birth to her beautiful baby girl. Because of this Peeta mourned for days. With the baby, he fought the other tributes. Was he part of the last three. The two Careers left tried to drown the baby in the river. But Peeta grabbed his sword and cut open the male tributes neck. Then he drowned the female tribute left. After a few days of waiting he realized that he was the only one left. And then he heard,
"Only one person or tribute comes out alive, Mr. Mellark." When he heard this he made sure the baby was wrapped up properly and kissed it's forehead.
"I'm going to go to mommy now. We love you. We love you so much." Tears streamed down his face and he picked the poisonous beeries Katniss told him about. He ate them. And the cannon sounded.
