Fallen gem

Escaping care

Steven sat in the couch in his beach house while the gems ridiculed him despite, only trying to help him as there was obviously something wrong with him. " You crashed the van with Greg inside! You know how fragile he is! These pink outbursts of are getting out of control ...." pearl stated. That agitated Steven and, he turned pink and swelled up " its not an OUTBURST!" He exclaimed as he swelled down (the pink glow stayed) . "See! This is exactly what I'm saying about! What's happening to you! " she articulated. "Nothing! I-it's nothing..... " he said, even though he knew something was causing this and it could soon be a serious problem. Steven stands up and starts to head for the door. Pearl started to shout at him "Steven where are you going?!? We're not done-" Steven unintentionally puts a wall up in front of pearl. " ack! Steven drop this wall!" She yelled. He does a small gasp "Pearl, I'm sorry. I want to I - I just" Steven's dome dissipates. "need... some space, OK? I'll be in my room." He says as he walks up the stairs, embarrassed that any of this is happening. " Not so fast, my dude. You gotta tell us what's going on." Amethyst says to him very concerned. Steven stops in the middle of climbing the stairs . "It looks like Steven is trying to avoid a serious discussion about this all together." Garnet says very calmly. "No I'm NOT!!!" Steven says right before he slams his fist into the staircase out of pure rage causing the floor to crack. "Steven, you have got to come down and talk to us" garnet said in a strict tone. "Just chill man! " amethyst exclaimed sounding even more concerned. Steven let's put a small groan. "We need to do something about this before someone gets hurt! " pearl says extremely worried. Steven groans louder. " Don't let this power control you. You're better than this." Garnet says looking Steven right in the eyes. " JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!" Steven shouts a shockwave of pink exploding across the entire house. Steven glances around everything seemed to be in slow motion. " I-I'm speeding up again...... I gotta get outta here" Steven wanders into the woods and he glances around. "Stupid gems won't let me solve my own problems" he says as he kicks a pebble. The pebble travels about a mile in front of him before it hits a bird which immediately falls out of the air. " I-I'm sure that birds fine....." he says nervously. He thinks about where he should go the gems would probably find him here. He glances over to a tall mountain. "The gems would never find me up there" he says as he starts to walk towards the mountain. Once he got to the base of the mountain he begun to climb it took him about 20 minutes to reach the top. Once he was there he glanced around at the beautiful mountain top that he felt like he never wanted to leave. Exhausted Steven walked over to a near by cherry tree. Steven at underneath the tree pink blossoms fell into his hair and on his sleeves. "It's so peaceful up here...." he said as his skin turns from pink to normal. The bright sunlight of noon was mostly blocked by the cherry tree but sunbeams still peeked through which Steven thought made it look even more beautiful. Steven slouched back his back pressed against the somewhat soft wood and sank into the comfortable warm grass with dandelions and cherry blossoms scattered around it under him. His eyes started to droop he tried to stay awake but it was too quite and he was too comfortable. Finally after struggling for so long he allowed his eyes to shut and for him to gently drift off to sleep.
