"God, why does every guy I like leaves! Once I think things are going well they leave or say "your not my type but your nice" God I wish this day would end so I can go home and sulk" I think as I walk with my hood up and ear buds in as I look down. It's raining but I have a hood so ill be fine.

Someone run into me causing me to fall into a puddle getting soaked
"Ughh! This day can't get even worse. I'm sorry for bumping into you, I wasn't looking where I was going" I apologize to the person as they stick their hand out
"Ahh no I'm sorry it's my fault I shouldn't have ran into you like that" he explains as he tries to help me up.
I get a good look at him to see that It's Tanaka. He's in some of my classes but I only talk to him every once in a while
"He's kinda cut- STOP IT! no don't catch feelings your just gonna get your heart broken" I think to myself
"It's fine, I'll just be on my home right now" I excused myself as I start to walk away
"WAIT-" he panicked and grabbed my hand as we locked eyes
"Ahhh no shit! He's cute like really cute.. fuck I think I have feelings" My inner voice says as I feel my cheeks turn a little pink.
He quickly let's go and says "come to me to practice and ill help you dry off, please. I wouldn't want you to catch a cold"
"Okay, t-thanks Tanaka" I said without thinking
"Wait how do you know my name?" He questioned as we walk
"Ah well your in some of my classes so I just know your name from attendance and slight interactions" I explained
"Oh your y/ln, I knew you looked sorta familiar"
"Wait you actually remember me?"
"Well yeah who can forget a face as cute as yours" he said without thinking
I'm screaming on the inside!! He called me cute!!!
"Ah ha thanks but I'm not cute" I say denying the compliment
"I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable" he stammered
"No its okay and do you think you can call me y/nn?" (Nick name) I ask
"Yeah, y/nn" he says casually as we share a slight giggle as we slightly blush

Me and Tanaka have been hanging out a lot since that day and I maybe in love with him. We really clicked since then it's been like what 3 months and I really like him. His whole volleyball team knows it but him.
"HI Y/NN" Tanaka and Noya yell as you go to met with Kyoko. Oh yeah Tanaka convinced me to be a manager for the volleyball team, I can't say I hate it.
"Sooo, when are you gonna tell him" Kyoko asks as we stand at the sidelines.
"I'm thinking tonight when we walk home!" I say with confidence
"Are you gonna chicken out like you did last time?" She asks with a little spunk
"You know I have problems with guys rejecting me.. it's happened so much i should be use to it" I tell her as I get sad

"Dude I'm telling you we're gonna kill it at nationals!" He explains happly as we walk home till we stop in front of a coach's store.
"Hey Ryu... can I tell you something?" I ask as my foot makes a circle pattern
Okay here i go
"Yeah you can tell me anything, we're like best friends" he says as his expression softens
"I um really like you.. like a lot and I know you have a thing for Kyoko but hey it's out there now. I like you but you don't have to return the feeling" I sighed as I start to walk away but he grabbed my hand like the day we bumped into each other.
He pulls me close into a hug and says "you know you shouldn't doubt yourself" he explains
"How!?! Even every guy i ask out rejects me. No matter how hard I try I can never find someone that will feel the same way I do" I say as tears well up in my eyes.
"Woah woah woah, hey hey. Don't cry" he says as he whips a tear away "screw those guys cause they don't know how amazing you are... and they won't get the chance to try again because... y/n would you go out with me?"
"Yes" I say as I kiss him. His eyes widen in shock but kisses me back.
"Thank you Ryu-cun, for being someone who loves me" I say as we grabbed each other's hands as we walked home.

Coach Ukai pov:
Crazy kids, I was gonna tell them to go home but... I couldn't ruin that moment. I know he'll treat her well they're both good kids
