Lost

Introduction

     Grayson woke up to a blinding light. Sand tickled his face as he sat up. A screaming headache made itself noticeable as Grayson tried to understand his surroundings.
He saw trees, there were thousands that he could see. He circled around and saw the ocean staring back at him. Grayson looked up at the sky and tried to remember what had brought him here. All he could remember was getting home, and his dad was nowhere to be found. Grayson closed his eyes and tried to remember more, despite the overwhelming pain in his head. He remembered finding his friends, Liam, Mateo, and Lily. He remembered running to the boat dock, but he couldn't remember why.
     "HELLO?" A voice called from in the forest, interrupting Grayson's thoughts.
Grayson perked his head up and ran as quickly as he could to the voice.
     "HELLOO?" They called again.
     "HELLO! I'M HERE!" Grayson yelled back, so happy that there was someone else here with him.
     When Grayson finally got to the source of the yelling he saw a girl he'd never seen before, at least not one that he could remember. Her hair was raven black and she sat on the ground holding her leg.
     "What's wrong?" Grayson asked immediately before he could ask anything else.
      "My leg." She answered, "I tripped."
      "Okay," Grayson knelt down beside her. "So, where are we?" he asked as he slowly shifted her leg so he could look at it. It didn't look broken, maybe just sprained.
      "Um, well I saw them drop you guys off. I've been alone here for what feels like years. I tried to escape with them but they left before I could get to them." She answered.
     "Wait, who brought us here?" Grayson asked, even more confused than before.
      "I don't know who they are... but they dropped me off years ago." She looked down.
     "Has anyone else been dropped off?" Grayson questioned.
     She paused, "Just you and the people with you."
