As I sat on bed watching a scary movie I was terrified. Not very smart of me since I was all alone. Literally no one was home and it was late at night.
It was the last night of summer before sophomore year. Most people would be out trying to spend as much time together before school started again, but as far as I knew I had no plans.
Just as the movie got to a scary part there was a loud knock on my window.
I screamed. Loud.
I looked over and saw one of my best friends. Stiles Stilinski.
I got up and walked over to open the window. "You scared the hell out of me. What are you doing here?" I questioned still slightly shaken.
"We're going on an adventure." He said smiling widely. "What, where?" I asked now confused.
"My dad got called in there bringing in everyone, there was a body found in the woods." He said still very excited.
"Okay and why do we need to go." I asked. "If they found the body we do we need to go?" I questioned.
"That's the best part. They only found half." He said.
Only Stiles would be excited over a dead body. Half a dead body may I add. I have to admit though a late night adventure does sound pretty fun.
"Alright I'm coming, just let me get dressed." I said. Thank god my dad isn't home or I'm sure I'd get caught.
"Is she coming?" I heard from down below. I leaned over and saw Scott McCall. Our other best friend.
"You got roped into this too huh?" I asked smiling. "Don't I always." He said back with some fear and annoyance in his voice.
I quickly threw on a sweater and some jeans and met them outside. I hope this doesn't take long or else my first day tomorrow will be hell.
As we pull up to the preserve in Stiles' light blue jeep Stiles jumps out quickly with a flashlight in hand. That leaves us to run after him.
"We're seriously doing this." Scott asks. A little to late to be backing out now.
"You're the one always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town." Stiles says with slight attitude. It's true Beacon Hills is a small boring town with not a whole lot happening.
